Stunning purchase RJ, good for you!!!

Im terrible for doing things like that, if I have the money and there's something I want (HCTB Tour being a prime example lol ) then I'll go for it - sod all point in saving up and never doing anything with it, when my time comes I wanna know I did everything I possibly could have done

That's my excuse anyway!!

What do I look like, stupid?

There wasn't a power point on that wall to plug in the electric keyboard so it had to be a piano.

You like to decorate your walls with nice things, don't yo? You probably put them next to your copy of the holy grail.

You should play it and batter it a bit and it will look like Bruce's Telecaster.

I assume it was about 300 to 400 €? Probably would have cost at least twice as much if it had "Fender" printed on the headstock instead of "Squier".

Pretty small pic. Jugding by the headstock, it's not a Fender. Japanese Strat copy? How much is that one and does it have a switch to make the humbucker sound like a single coil?

"You should play it and batter it a bit and it will look like Bruce's Telecaster. "

funnily that was the first idea I had when I discovered it at the store lol
I instantly fell in love with it! here's a little more info:
http://www.musicstore.de/de_DE/EUR/F...GIT0000003-004

I hate myself for spending that much money, but I'm as happy as a little boy coming out of a candy store lol

"I assume it was about 300 to 400 €? Probably would have cost at least twice as much if it had "Fender" printed on the headstock instead of "Squier"."

actually it was just 170€ (retail price 240)

"Pretty small pic. Jugding by the headstock, it's not a Fender. Japanese Strat copy?"

It's one of those asian one's that every company sells under a different name. Jack & Danny's, Harley Benton, etc
http://www.musicstore.de/de_DE/EUR/G...GIT0014734-000

"and does it have a switch to make the humbucker sound like a single coil?"

no idea what you just said lol
the only feature I did test was the switch to mix the three pick ups.

The black one is a Fender CD60 btw, probably the cheapest acoustic one that sounds and also looks quite good!

I pass by a guitar store almost every day that has an old Pearl Les Paul for sale (about 300 €) and I just can't decide whether to buy it or not. Every time I stop at that shop and ask myself whether I should go in and just get the damn thing, LOL.

It looks like this (the one without a pickguard): http://www.gibson.com/Files/aaFeatur...GT-2%20pic.jpg

79 €? Okay, if I just wanted to hang it on the wall I'd probably buy it but I'd never spend that little money on a new guitar I'm actually going to play. I doubt that you can make a good electric guitar and sell it for such a low price. I recently bought a cheap Strat copy (about 150 €) and it required some work and new parts to sound half-way decent. Best Asian Strat copy I ever bought was a Cheri (E Series), I purchased it for about 100 € along with a crappy old amp from a student. Excellent guitar, very good quality and sound. It was my first electric guitar and it's still my favorite one although it has suffered a little over the years. It now looks a bit like an old lady that used to be a beauty once.

I was talking about the pickups. The guitar in the pic has two single coils and a humbucker. Some models come along with a switch that enable you to change the humbucker to single coil mode.

Get a good amp and play your Tele, it's fun - especially when it drives the neighborhood mad.

gotta say to the untrained ear it sounded quite acceptable (the key word being quite). The thing is that it actually looks a lot cheaper in real life. The body and pickguard look more like plastic and all the switches also looked very cheap. I thought there wouldnt be much of a point hanging that one up on the wall.

The other reason I bought it was to switch from my acoustic one from time to time, to see how certain songs sounded on a tele.

Bought a rather cheap 'Fame' amp with it. Was testing the cheapest one they had (20€), but that one sounded more like a kitchen radio than actual audio equipment lol

Here's something I'd like to hang on my wall but considering the price that would be madness: http://www.musicstore.de/de_DE/EUR/F...GIT0005623-000
