thank loaf for my taped episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent featuring the glorious Vincent D'Onofrio as Det Bobby Goren ... because for ALLLL the channels on our system ? ... there wasn't one single film to catch my attention last night !!! ... i think i'm going to talk husband into watching UP today though... enough with the brainNumbing sameness over and over ...

The Fly ... starring Jeff Goldblum ... still ... i TRIED to nap instead of asking husband to watch Up ... with the loud music we wouldnt be able to hear anyroad... i could sleep either... so yes... i'm a wee bit grumpy ... argh ... lol ... and now with the front door closed it's getting a bit warm in hear and now the feckin' dog belonging to neighbors in back has started to yap ... FECK !

While I'm not a fan of Zombie's the-gorier-the-better approach at halloween, and the fact that he tries to give Mike Myers a backstory, you gotta appreciate that he tries to make the movie his own. Too many of the recent horror remakes have been 1:1 copies of the originals with updated effects and less appeal. The Zombie Halloween isnt my taste, but I appreciate the effort.

Just rewatched the original Nightmare on Elm Street.

While you gotta admit it is a low budget movie with dogdy acting (better effects and acting in the remake), this one leaves you scared, not sickened or disturbed.

yeah neither do i...its one of those films where you have to say you like otherwise you'll feel uncool. the commitments was a bit like that, great soundtrack average film.
