Cheers, I haven't been on myspace for some time. Nice to see her doing gigs outside of the US. Fact she's supporting Meat means that Patti won't be doing an opening set, which is a little disappointing to say the least.

Yup, Bible And A Beer live is an awesome song but then again I'm just counting myself lucky that she's back.

was talking to Pearl on Facebook...or at least i think it was Pearl...she was really nice for an albeit brief conversation.
She did say that she wouldn't be performing Killing Trend...which is disappointing as it's my fav song of hers but hey i'll live! |

I think we will be seeing Pearl at Fibbers York. We are driving back down to York the day after we have comeback from seeing Meat. She is well worth the drive back!!! Would have loved to have stayed overnight but family commitments and all that. The price of petrol it would probably have been cheaperLOL...

My niece thinks Bible and a Beer should be added as one of the encore songs since they usually perform non-Meat songs during the encore. I've seen Mercury Blues since the Just Havin' Fun tour and Black Betty since the Hair of the Dog tour, so it would be nice to see some different songs. Doubt it would happen, but we can dream.

meat would have to allow patti to sing bible and a beer solo imo for that to work and i cant see that for an encore, i'd rather the song wasnt compromised by meat and the band taking it on.

I think the band would do a good job with the song, but I can see what you mean about Patti singing that song solo. I agree with Pud and Monstro; it's a shame that Patti won't be singing any of her solo songs this summer because she has so many great ones.

i agree but i guess there wasnt time after the decision to return, either that or they were already locked in agreement for this other artist to do the opening.
trouble for meat now is: Kasim does his own stuff CC does her own stuff Patti does her own stuff Pearl does her own stuff. John and Paul are working with a great new artist (i'm sure they'd love to showcase her) who gets first dibs on opening?? |

From Pearl's My Space, The Barfly gig in Cambridge is now cancelled due to Barfly closing (good enough reason! ) and instead she'll be playing at the Academy in Oxford on July 5th

According to MySpace, due to circumstances beyond Pearl's control the Oxford gig is cancelled too
