Absolutely it's a marketting mistake if it doesn't happen, but it seems this album has been riddled with marketting mistakes from day one, so I wouldn't hold my breath in them getting something right in this stage of the game.

between promotion, single choices and some song choices we could go on forever about why Bat 3 hasn't sold as many as everyone assumed it would.
but hey it's old ground |

And anyway, Jennifer Hudson sung for bat3 before she has won the Oscar.
So that makes no sense to blame Patti |

Agreed!
But ... I don't think Patti being used more on Bat III would have saved it sales-wise. Having had time to play the album more and more it doesn't quite hang together for many reasons not relevant on this thread. The future IS Patti, let's hope an album is in the offing soon, she above all deserves solo success. |

Several months too late. She was everywhere in the media leading up to the Oscars. The media has moved on for now until she releases something else.

I don't think using Patti anymore, would have highlighted the album anymore. Personally, I prefer Bat 3's version of Future, with Jennifer Hudson, but it all come down to marketing, and it did not work, just like CHSIB, a ba**'s up.

Marketting alone can't be blamed for the balls up, the public just didn't take to it as it was hoped, but that's another discussion for another thread.

Always wonderful to hear that amazing voice, though I can't help but feel a little saddened to be reminded of what we're missing

Agreed, Aspen is great in her own right, but Patti was the one in my humble opinion

Oh and i gave a friend the link to Patti's version of 'Future' his comment was excellent, a cross between Blues and Jazz, and not many people can do that
