i think the football fans would be very unhappy if nearly an hour of their two hour tv show of the world bowl was used to show a Meat Loaf concert lol

as a Meat fan AND a sports fan ... i'm in accord with you... that's why i always have to laugh a bit when Meat fans complain he wasn't on long enough ... imo... if one is playing a halftime... or singing at a baseball game... it's for promotion ... and i'm always thrilled with even the wee taste of Meat i get !! ... ...

The setlist was:

Paradise
Frying Fan ( with flames )
Lemon
Anything
Bat

Meat played for about 20min. It was quite loud in the stadium with loads of echoes (closed roof). The press mentioned that even the announcers during the game couldn't be heard on the second balcony.

It was a great opening!

No way he was miming on "Lemon", with the shorter version he got the "parts are out of stock" segment words confused.

I've been there.
Have to check the DSF broadcast a friend recorded for me. Won't get it before wednesday evening. But I've been told there was only Lemon, Anything and Bat on German TV.....
We had standing places behind the stage. Kasim carried Aspen out of the stadium.

Oh ok. That's a shame they didn't show the whole thing on TV. But at least we got to see some of it ... it's still great promotion for Meat

It was a shortened version of the song. THe words were missed out on purpose.

Yeah that's what I thought too. It didn't make as much sense this way maybe (though probably not many of the crowd would have noticed that), but I don't think Meat messed the words up.

So are you saying that Meat was giving what the fans wanted and what they didn't want was Bat3? Just think of all the estimated spectators who haven't bought Bat3

Yes, I read in her MySpace Blog that she fell and hurt her ankle after singing Paradise at one of the shows in Germany. Thankfully it was just a sprain, and she posted that she's already doing a lot better.
