I just REALLY hope it gets promo'd though - apart from real fans like us, people who just bought this one on impulse may not bother with the new one. We were all gutted tho with 31 so lets hope this at least hits the top 20- preferably top 10 as I don't wanna see Meat Loaf the camp decorator!!

Hi Meat.
I'm a little late posting here. It's been a busy weekend, and i'm only now finally getting up to speed with what's new.
It's great that the single is being re-launched .let's hope that the record company get it right this time and put some real weight behind it.

Cloggy,I don't know for sure if a different B side will afect the overall success of CHSIB.
The nearest info I can find in the Guinness british hit singles book (14th edition) is....

Quote:
Re-entries,re-issues,remixes and re-recordings are all counted provided the original vocal is used and the original artists are credited.
It doesn't mention B sides, but it looks pretty hopeful .
Hope that helps.

Hiya all,

Well iv'e been a busy little bee, writing to all the papers in the South Wales and Manchester area's. Here's hoping they take notice of little old me and get off thier arses and do something.

I've also been hounding various radio stations to get Meat on thier playlist :) According to hubbs, i've revolutionised Swansea sound as although they aren't playing CHSIB they are playing many of his other hits. I know it's not exactly what we want, but i spose anything helps, and if it gets Meat promoted, then maybe it'll spur people on to buy the album, or at least that's what i'm hoping

I've also printed off about 50 copies of the different posters Caryl has sent me. I've made sure all my friends have copies, and i've seen a few in peoples front windows - it actually looks really funny, as we are having elections this thursday, and Meat's posters are beside posters asking people to vote labour/conservative/lib dem/plaid :P :P :P

Anyways, just thought i'd get you all up to date with what ive been doing. Take care, all

I'm still emailing and phoning radio stations etc. however I am finding that it is still not on local radio playlists. Is anyone else having this problem?

Do we know when the new release date is? I hope this is backed with airtime, enough stock, and plenty of promotion! and that if there is anything that can be done by the multitude of fans we are asked.

Does anybody know if Meat Loaf is actually going to be there tomorrow evening or not? (There's a link to the webcam in the calendar.)

Is our guy something special or what??!!!!!

One of the slowest, most boring award shows I've ever tried to watch (sorry, 56k makes watching VERY difficult at best). And when does the show finally come alive???

YES!!! Meat Loaf!! He brings life, excitement, fun, laughs wherever he goes!! Amazing!!! He is truly one of a kind and we are all blessed to have him in our lives!!

What a riot today!! Wasn't he tremendous?!! How many more radio stations are now going to be playing the album because of this appearance??!!

"I am the past, I am the future...and in 60 when I'm 111 years old, I'll STILL be rocking your world!!" (Did I get that quote right??!! If not, it's close!!) Whoooeeee!!

Yes, indeed!! If this is true for ANYONE in this world, it is MEAT!!!

Hope you all caught the show and loved his part of it, as much as I did!!

Love to all,
MB

I was offline, and missed it too
But according to the site, it'll be archived on the site tomorrow morning. I'm not sure how long it'll be there, but here's the link again :

http://www.radioawards.org/index.htm?

Hope this helps :)

Hi, Asha! Go to the same website tomorrow morning and they say the entire broadcast will be there to see again!!

I wasn't looking so I don't have an exact time, but I believe Meat came on about the last 20 minutes or so of the program.

Enjoy!!

Love,
MB

ps. This is being written the next morning. Just watched the edited version of the show, which is actually incomplete. You'll find Meat on the last 5 minutes or so...Shame they didn't reshow the entire broadcast. He came back on during the next presentation with a little more funny shtick. --MB

Found this quote on the site.

"22:42: Gambo wins Music Broadcaster

Show host Paul Gambaccini wins Music Broadcaster of the Year prize. Meatloaf presents the trophy with an impassioned plea for more weather girls and a call for Gambos glasses so he could read the card. It has to be heard to be believed! Gambo was greeted by a standing ovation. "

Don't you hate it if anybody spells your name wrong??

And it says archive from 8 am.....

Thank you so much MB! It was indead a very boring event until Meat 'took over'!! I got disconnected from the web-cam before Meat was on, yesterday. Didn't like that, but it was getting late anyway.
This morning I watched it and it's a great way to start the day!!
Off to work now, enjoy!!!!

Love,

Mariella

Good to know you enjoyed it too Vicki and Asha!
