I fail to follow your logic since what was said wasn't at all that far from the truth.

1. bat out of hell 3 did go ahead for a good reason - money$$$ they thought it would be a cash cow on name alone.
2. jim doesnt seem to be writing songs for anybody these days
3. he does write slowly, so usually record companys dont wait!

I didnt say that he/she wasnt right, I just said that this was the start of the usual debate, which will go out of control soon.
And, as it looks right now, I was probably right.

It only gets out of control if people let it get out of control...

Let's see if it's possible to have a discussion round this topic where people actually think before pressing "post reply" shall we

I don't think that's asking too much of us. Basically, without trying to psych myself out about the whole thing thinking of who's done what to whom over time, I think Sam Ellis came up with the best possible summation back in 1977 before everything: "It's a love-hate relationship that you've gotta love." When they're "in love," metaphorically speaking, the whole world is springtime, and we get a lot of goodies out of the deal. On the other hand, when they're not...well, let's just say they must have been "in love" a lot because they did some of their best work together for a long time, and who's been the better for it? Us!

Jim writes the songs (whenever he can be bothered) and Meat Loaf is the vehicle to which those songs are sung (some of the time). Deadringer is a fantastic album and they weren't 'in love' when that was done.

Default Meat loaf v Jimsteinman

I think meat loaf may work with jim when the time is right for both of them to work together. i think jim is a fantastic writer and meat loaf is a fantastic singer i hope meat loaf will put one of jims songs on the new album. i think meat loaf and jim have always had a very strong friendship and that what makes good team work.from lisa01

imo, so long as someone who can sing is recording Jim's songs (and he writes something!), and Meat is still recording something that's decent, i'm happy...it's bonus if we get Meat with new Jim material but (and this is fact, not criticism) with the speed Jim works at dunno to what extent i can see that happening. don't think any of us will ever know state of relationship between meat and jim, and seems it sometimes changes so often even if we did know, may be out of date before we knew it.
dont think there is anyone (even those who arent particular fans of meat) who wouldn't welcome meat recording some of jim's work and i can see a lot of excitement / expectation if we hear of that happening.

Well, maybe it's just a matter of when both are feeling creative then.
