You will forgive me, I hope, when I say that I would not contribute to any fund in this case. I am not saying I doubt what you are saying, but I have always been wary of contributing monetarily to something I have not personally borne witness to, particularly over the internet. There are many scams of this nature that seek to capitalise on peoples good nature and thus I have always made it a rule that I would not contribute myself. Again, I hope you don't take that personally as I wish you the very best of luck in the future with this.
I hold no ill will against that honestly, I work in telemarketing for a living to pay for my college and I know....believe me...how many people are wary these days of contributing to something they've never even heard of or know of or what not....

After much discussion on the matter the moderation team have decided to lock this thread for the time being.

Obviously health is the most important thing, and as so many people here have so generously offered their financial support, we would like to lock this thread for the time being so that the rest of the staff and I can discuss the best and most responsible way that we as a community can help AJ in his time of need.

Team have decided that we will look for a way of collecting donations that can be paid directly towards medical bills, obviously we will be doing this asap and as soon as this has been worked out the thread will be reopened with instructions how forum members kind offers can be turned into direct assistance.

Update

Hi folks.
As you know, the site staff have been looking into how we as a community can best help AJ in his time of need.

There have been some generous offers of financial help from the membership and we would like to help those who wish to donate send their donations where it will do the most good.

There has been the mention of concert tickets, but we feel it would be unethical of us, the staff, to put more value on concert tickets than the medical care that AJ needs.
Nothing is more important than good health.

We are unable to accept or process donations to AJ ourselves, and likewise we cannot promote payments direct to an individual.

We have however contacted AJ asking him to supply us with a link where payments can be made direct to his registered health care provider (these donations to be deducted from his medical expences).
This is being arranged.

Sorry for the delay in bringing you this news, but if you could please be patient a little longer your donations will be able to go straight to where they are needed most.

On behalf on the mlukfc staff
Thanks.

We have decided that we will no longer offer support of any kind regarding this. The op failed to supply us with any proof of his medical condition in a reasonable time frame. This and the content of this thread @ pbnation seem to indicate that the cancer diagnosis is just another scam attempt.
