Meat, Bruce, Elton John and Status Quo!

And I'm only 21! I consider myself lucky to be honest...

My life would be complete if Billy Joel and Phil Collins were on that list. Mark Knopfler would then be the icing on the cake...

Couldn't have said it better.
However I would prefer to see Knopfler if he were to do only or at least mostly Dire Straits songs. Been looking at his recent setlists and two isn't enough for me to be convinced to go.

Oh I'm the opposite, I'd love him to drop any of the Dire Straits stuff to bring in 2 more of his own songs. Particularly if one of them songs was to be Cannibals.

Yikes, I'm surprised. Always found the Dire Straits music to be legendary. Recently watched the Alchemy show on Blu Ray. Quite stunning I thought and ahead of its time. 14 minute version of Tunnel of Love is one of the most definitive pieces of rock music I've ever heard and then there's Sultans and Romeo & Juliet, but I just preferred those 80s and 90s arrangements. Find that type of music much closer to Springsteen, even Joel and Steinman than what he's doing now, which is more roots rock/folk/country I'd say, quite particular for a Scotsman too. No offence though, if his heart is in that he should do it.

Can't believe I forgot to add The Who, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Robert Plant and Paul Rodgers to the list! And David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Elton, Whitesnake, and Bob Dylan (well, even though he wasn't especially good on the night, he's still a legend!) Then there's Van Morrison, The Manfreds, and the countless hordes I've forgotten lol

Come to think of it, the majority of the shows I've been to have been by what might be refered to as 'older' artists. But then I've always had good taste when it comes to such things, obviously!

If we're adding legends to the list then James Brown has to be there, I wouldn't say his was the best show ever, but good to have ticked a legend off the list.

Although I mentioned the Stones in my earlier post, as well as seeing them as the complete entity, I've also seen Bill Wyman with the Rhythm Kings and Ronnie Wood in a solo show, both of which were excellent.

there is a great bunch of em, most mentioned. From what ive witness myself i'd have to say Steven Tyler and, Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi from Quo. And is a slighty different...

.....ya know wht fuk it, he's still a performer/singer. Ken Dodd. The man is in his 80's and still performs his mammoth 5hr shows 100 times a year. Joking aside he's best selling artist of the 60's appart from the Beatles. Even if someone isnt a fan, you gotta respect his ability.

I saw them in Hyde Park in June, on the same bill as Crowded House, Elvis Costello and Paul McCartney. A great day!
