I didnt hear that part...in that case they deserve a bigger thank you. They genuinly seemed confused why the camera was on them for an interview when meat was on stage performing. And talking about Wheatus, Because of you has the same intro as teenage dirtbag..im convinced!

I did not see or hear any of this as I was playing over in Ireland this weekend but trust me peeps if your monitors are down you simply can not hear a word you are singing it is imposable it is simply in the lap of the gods and I don't care who you are or how good you are when your in that situation sometimes you make mistakes and it is no bearing what so ever on your self.
May be some people should try doing this job with a real LIVE band and see just how easy it is when things go tit's up and are out with your control Power to you Meat Pete P.S. for some People that might read this, this is not an Asslick OK |

Hi, Fire ball. As usual you Pattie and the band were perfect ,if anyone is to blame, blame is putting it mildly. We just couldnt hear a couple of your lines ,that in my opinion is down to the sound guy , definatley not you or the band .We love you Meat and always will, and the rest of the band and pattie ,You gave 110%as you always do .You know we would never ask for more than that.
we love you Fire ball best wishes Carol XXX |

Hey Meat,to anyone who has put you down over todays performance, all I have to say is,have you any idea what your talking about?Do you know what a microphone is?
There have been excuses made that you did a concert last night and that you have just had surgery, but the truth is that the volume on your mic was too low and there was too much echo. That is far beyond the control of any performer. You,Pattie and the band gave it everything as always. That's why we love you. ROCK ON FIRE BALL. |

Sorry to hear it was a frustrating experience Fire Ball. What little we could hear on the radio feed here sounded good, except your mike kept cutting out. Too bad they bolluxed things up so much. The crowd loved you. TV and radio did you and your fans an injustice.
Well, on to the rest of the tour...we will be cheering you on soon in WI, and then in IA. ROCK ON FIRE BALL! T |

I was disappointed .. well appalled actually .. that they cut your set. Thought you were on tremendous form and CHSIB went down a storm. I think there will be very few without an axe to grind who would think you had anything to apologise for .. what we saw was great, and the audience seemed to agree :) Loved the interviews on TV and radio .. my take .. they were bloody lucky to have you :)

I gues all I wanted to say has been said. So, I don't have to type that much
Only heard CHSIB and Anything, ofcourse. Nothing 'wrong' with that, expect for the few lines we just couldn't hear. Bottem line: yes indeed, they were bl**dy lucky to have you!!! Take care, Mariella |

Another point to mention is that most of the other acts (at least before Meat as we left straight after them) weren't playing totally live, whereas Meat was.
Some of the acts had no musicians on the stage and another had background vocals playing but nobody else on stage had a microphone! They also spent longer getting Meat set up (even having Mel C play a song on a different stage) whereas for the other acts, the instruments were just rolled out and the acts were on. Alrighty, more Party in the Park photo links:
http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryList...2919&styp=clbi http://newsandsport.gettyimages.com/...?SubjectID=ACE OK with the second one, the direct link to their Party in the Park photos is just HUGE (i just pasted it in and its over 10 lines!), so instead, im just directing you to the page that you should be able to find the link to them on. Now there's no way for me to filter it down to just the Meat shots at this site, so do note there are over 12 pages on that site of PITP photos, so check out pretty much all of them, as Meat's throughout, even doing some stuff in the crowd shots of him and Prince Charles. But the performance shots of Meat and Patti are really nice as well! (no other band members alas !) OK if i find more, i'll let ya know! Jen S. |

You were great, Meat
Don't blame yourself/the band/crew for the technical difficulties I thought you were great. And so was Patti and the rest of the group. If anyone is to blame, it's five I agree, the post-performance interview was great. Just like when he was on PKAL when he bumped into poor Patrick Kielty, he was uncontrollable once more in front of the poor interviewees! On the other performances, it's nice to see Gareth Gates and Busted not miming for once |

My brother just wrote to me:
Read a write-up on Party in the Park (Prince's trust pop festival) scathing of majority of artists who, together with their backing groups, simply mimed to tapes. One notable exception (it said) was Meatloaf who sang live and looked as if he meant what he was singing. Sounds to me like the kind of star they should NOT be pulling the plug on because he over-runs!! |

Here's a link to the Party In The Park feedback page... if anyone would like to tell the organisers what they thought of the way Meat was treated: Where it says "My Message/Question is for" just enter "THE ORGANISERS!" http://www.capitalfm.com/webClient?guid=57930
OR even better, email Chris Tarrants show as he is a bit of a fan : -) Here's the link: http://www.capitalfm.com/webClient?guid=57017 |

Well said Big momma!
Meat certainly has stood the test of time, a legend continuing to go from strength to strength! Unlike the two bit wonders that come along and last five minutes.(if that long ) Rock on Fireball |

Did anyone catch the GMTV news this morning they were talking about PITP and they intervied about three stars back stage before their performance asking them how they kept calm before going on. They filmed Meat, it was only a brief 10sec shot and his reply was FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS.
He looked really GREAT! |

Fire Ball - you rocked man! I was at Plymouth (was a 4 hour drive from where I now live in London, though Devon is home) but worth every second of the 4 hours there and 4 hours back! It was an awesome gig - THANK YOU! I've never seen Plymouth so excited and so many people pack the Pavilions in all my life. Mega!
As for PITP - it's tosh, man. They used you for lots of publicity for it and then messed you around, performance-wise. It's full of little pop "stars" (using that term v v lightly!) who only mimed to tapes and did fancy dance routines! V easy to do that. What you did, performing live in that environment with no sound checks and all that mayhem takes a true artist. The only positive thing as far as I can see, is that you got to play to a much wider audience than you would normally have - families, young kids who like pop and not necessarily rock, and many who perhaps have never heard you before. Plus the TV coverage of a live concert for a wider audience. That can never do you harm. It's just the way it was all handled. But, what can you do? To hell with it - onwards and upwards! We love ya - you have SO much support out here and I know I speak for all the great people on here at least who can't wait to see you live in November and December. Plymouth has whetted my appetite... ROCK ON!!! |
