We'll keep you posted!

You have all my support on this Would love to see a MLUKFC convention. One to tie in with Bat III would be even better!

Don't forget the fans in Ireland, who would do anything to see Meat Loaf Live. Australia is too far away for most of them to travel. Lisa

Ok, let's all stop disagreeing about where to have the convention...
Is it possible maybe (we have one year as of today) for someone to organise an Irish Meatvention, a Scottish Meatvention, and one in Holland also??
If you can all form committees to do so, drop us an email at the official addy, and welcome to the Meatloafaoke Cup contest!

Just to clear this one up quick, Meat is NOT coming to our MV. We're doing our best, but it's not gonna happen!
Sorry for any confusion there!

How about trying to involve Steve Steinman for the British one-he is the best tribute act I've ever seen!!

Most conventions have two tribute acts so i recommend Pure Meat Loaf - Andy P. aswell!

Is anyone gonna book a venue soon?? I say it should be middle of everywhere.....or London!

Working frantically on that!
For those of you who have not had the time to nip over to our site recently, or jumped on the mailing list, here's a quick update...
Germany are out, they have their gathering on the first weekend in September and can't move that to the last weekend.
Holland are in, and will be having a one day Meatvention festival (at this stage), held on the Saturday to join in the Guinness World Record.
The UK will be having one, just bickering over who gets to organise it for now.
The USA are being slow to answer emails, looks promising but wouldn't put money on it just yet.
And the Japanese, Russian, Swedes and Portuguese refuse to respond to any invitations.
For those of you in the UK who are worried about travel, a) some of the Aussies will be driving 42 hours or more to get to ours, so really.... lol, and b) you have a years notice, start saving 50p a week, and finding friends in the area you can stay with.
Watch this space.

I'm going to have a Meatvention BBQ in my back garden this Sunday to coincide with Halloween on Monday and Jim Steinman's birthday on the 1st. Everyone's welcome, just bring a sausage and a 6 pack of beer.

Well, here's some hot gossip!
We are officially having a Guinness World Record attempt!
Now, there has been no record set in this category before, the closest thing is a world record for most people in a singalong in one venue (88,600 for anyone who wants to know!).

So this will be an entirely new record, the precise details for which and the precise things we need to do to authenticate it are in negotiations with Guinness as we speak!
Start practicing your BOOH's, people!

Anyone who's seen the site probably saw my name on the list of acts. I'm getting permission to do a few encores of never-before-heard Jim Steinman songs. The rest of the set will be very interesting. I can't wait

and neither can heaven
