Another smell I can't stand is the fertiliser that's used on the fields at the back of my house...it's not regular fertiliser

It's probably the yeast you can smell, and the general "by product of brewing" fermentation odour ... could explain your dislike of Marmite, since it comes from the same place ...

Doesn't necessarily follow, 'cos I can't stand the brewery smell but love Marmite!

That clear liquid stuff in coconuts!! Its not coconut milk and it stinks!! My boyfriend drinks it straight from the nut but you can smell it a mile off!!
