Is that the one starring Matthew Broderick ? I saw ads and thought I'd hate it. I watched it once and thought "eh". I watched it again not long after and liked it... lol ... Go figure !
It took me about four watches of Batman (starring Jack Nicholson) to end up adoring it ! Last film I watched (half asleepily ... lol .. ) was Singin' In The Rain ... |

Yep . A perfect example of why too much CGI is a bad thing. No matter how good it may look at the time (and this didn't look that good at the time), it will never age well. In 20 years we'll all be saying how poor Avatar looks!

The last movie I saw was Black Swan- apparently no one else did. I'm not sure if I liked it... Before that one, it was True Grit- the remake. That one I did like. |

Toy Story 3 over Christmas. One of my all time favourite films. Best animated film I've seen and I really think it deserves a best film oscar in fact.
Saw Tron Legacy at the cinema last week. It was ok. Stunning effects I have to say. Thought most of the story sucked and seemed too Matrixy for my liking. The ending was great though and a fab "Here they come" homage to Star Wars too. "Crazies" (2010 version) this evening. It's ok for a rental, nothing I haven't seen done better by George A Romero. |

Eutopia/Atoll K/Crusoe Land (it's been released under a few different names).
Laurel & Hardy's last film, and one i've not watched before. To be honest, I wish I hadn't. Some of the old fun was still there (certainly enough for the odd laugh) but both Stan and Ollie looked ill, old, and well past their prime (although it's worth noting in all fairness that both were taken seriously ill during the making of the film). The production was terrible too.The sound seemed muffled in a lot of places, and the lighting of the film was very poorly done.A lot of the time faces on screen are obscured by large patches of shinning light. As I said, there are still funny momnent in the film, but I think it's sad that this was the last film that those two giants of comedy appeared in. |

Goldeneye. A good film, but Piss Bros hadn't got a handle on Bond yet. Also whoever was responsible for the music score should be shot.

GoldenEye has good bits (Famke Janssen ) but they rushed it to the cinema and apparently a whole car chase scene in the BMW Z3 was completely cut as the car wasn't ready and it's some kind of make shift model you see in the film and not the actual car. Stupid, a car chase towards the end of the film is exactly what is lacking in my opinion. I really like what David Arnold did with the music in subsequent movies but I hate the Daniel Craig reboot stuff, they should have stuck with Pierce for another 10 years and the same style jokes and fun imo. Was getting really good by "Die Another Day" and now it's completely serious, no gadgets, no Q or R, no punch lines and thus utterly forgettable imo. Last edited by AndrewG; 04 Jan 2011 at 19:43. |

10 years might be pushing it, but another couple of Piss Bros films would have been fine by me. Just no more invisible cars or Lee Tamahori .

I love Casino Royale though - thought it was the best Bond film for decades. It still has humour, some gadgets, but is back to being a serious, proper, stylish spy film. Granted, Quantum of Solace is a little too devoid of humour and needs to pace itself a bit more - I can't help feeling some interesting scenes and dialogue ended up on the cutting room floor. Yes, it is just slightly uncertain. But I think I came away from it thinking he is GOING to be a great Bond. And the music is god awful except for the title track. |

Think Tomorrow Never Dies is my all time favourite bond. Thought Jonathan Pryce was the best, most theatrical villain ever which worked really well and such an awesome car scene in the parking lot. I think Meat Loaf would have made a good villain too. Too bad he got such a rubbish film as Formula 51 / The 51th State to work with instead of Bond.

Last movie I saw at the theatre was Repo! The Genetic Opera, back in 2009 which was actually very good even if it was panned by critics as one of the worst films ever! I obviously don't get out the the movies very much - LOL
Last movie I watched on DVD - Roadie. |

Get Him To The Greek. It really shouldn't have been as funny as it was.

Der kalte Himmel (The cold heaven)
It´s a movie about a mother from a autistic, highly skilled boy. It shows the terrifying conditions in the children psychiatry in Germany in the late sixties. Horrible to see that Germany was so a small-minded land not so long ago. |
