What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
Can't recall how often I've watched this so far. Awesome performance by two of the best Hollywood actresses ever. Bette Davis was great. I love Robert Aldrich movies. ![]() |

The last film I watched was this morning, From Hell starring the deppie one. I think this is the film that made me sit bolt upright and ask... "Who's THAT ?" ... lol ... I think the first deppie film I saw was Secret Window and I only watched that because it was based on a Stephen King book. I wasn't too impressed and felt it easily could have been a made-for-tv film. Then I saw From Hell and went back to Secret Window to get a better appreciation for "Who's THAT?" ... lol ... yummy ... I'm really looking forward to the next adventure for Captain Jack !!! ...
![]() Wingers are crossed we'll be getting some movie watching in this weekend and next week as mother-in-law is off to visit a friend for about a week. She's not open to anything new in movies unless it concerns a dog or Bruce Willis/ Steven Segal / Mel Gibson AND Danny Glover blowing things up... I think you get the picture here... hahaha ... There's a couple oldies, but goodies I'll be opening beloved's mind to... ie Goodfellas (which I could watch over and over ... LOVE the way the soundtrack suits the action ) and Any Given Sunday ... xo |

An old classic starring Judy Garland, Meet Me In St. Louis, I do love this film and I like the part where she beats up her neighbour after her little sister falsely accuses him of hitting her and after hitting and biting him she says;
"If it's one thing I hate, loath and despise it's a bully !" Then storms off.. Classic ![]() |

In the last few weeks I've seen:
True Grit, The Fighter, The King's Speech, Fair Game and Adjustment Bureau. All very good. This cineworld unlimited card has been money well spent |

It is utterly bad.
1st, it reads exactly like a cheap cash in B movie screenplay. 2nd, it doesn't cover the really interesting bit which would be seeing Lector in his practice begining to kill people regularly and then getting caught. Utterly forgettable, commercial trash. In a sense, the film is a very good adaptation of it, in that it is also utterly forgettable commercial trash. Not sure if I'm writing forgettable correctly there, but I can't be bothered to go back and correct it either way ![]() |

What he said.
Both the books Hannibal and Hannibal Rising are clearly written to be made into films (in the same way that the much hyped The Lost Symbol from Dan Brown is also). Average at best, but they really should have left it where they did with Silence Of The Lambs and Red Dragon/Manhunter. |

Ohhh my god Hannibal Rising....there's a couple of hours of our lives we'll never get back! I actually can't comment on how bad or good it was because the fake Russian accents were so hideous that I cannot tell you a single thing that happened in that film, in fact I think I ended up asleep

![]() ![]() Norweigian with English subtitles, it's the story of a group of friends who go on an Easter break at a cabin, only to meet some nasty zombies of dead SS men who used to beat up the locals during the war. Not a film for the squeamish, lots of blood and gore. One of the characters wears a Braindead T shirt, and I don't doubt that the film makers are fans. Daft but entertaining. |
