Getting it started took a lot of time (as did the recent revamp), but keeping it up to date is a matter of minutes (and sometimes even less).

I think my collection is still fairly compact. I don't have to have every version of every release out there. I mean, if there's no difference in the content of the US and European release of an album, I'll just take the one that's cheaper. I'm Dutch like that.

Here's a Bat 1, a Bat II family portrait (which seems to prove the opposite of what I just said), a close up of Bat II and Bat III.

On every new piece of new audio equipment I get, the very first thing I play is Meat Loaf's "For Crying Out Loud".
Glad I'm not the only one that indulges in such behaviour.

I like the family portrait ideas! Think I might have to get the camera out for photoshoot tonight!

I adore my Meat Loaf collection and I daren't even consider how much money has gone into it, but I look around and it's all stored away I've got stunning artwork posters that live in the tubes they arrived in, rare vinyls that live in a box, concert t-shirts are in a zip-up bag under the bed. I'd love to have it all on show to appreciate what I have but I'd be running the risk of turning the house into a Meat Loaf exhibition which I think is a little much

So how do people keep their collections? Any interesting ways of displaying your favourite items?!
lucy don't wory my family and freinds say my room is like hard rock cafe (just without the bar) lol tickets and framed pics up every where lol

I don't think the intention was that everyone just posted their "lists", it's more about how the collection is stored or displayed ... how ingenious have you been with storing it? Or is it just kept in a box under the bed?

Thats what I meant, a pic of stuff rather than listing! too lazy and busy to type lol!

Most of my stuff is in boxes now Me and my missus sorted the house not too long ago and anything that wasn't 'classy' went in a box! bytch lol!

She did get me together a fantastic signed bat 3 listening party set framed though! It looks amazing!

We don't have that much displayed in our house.

On one wall in the living room there is a a framed ad for IGLHFBOU, the limited edition gold Bat record, and a trade ad from 78 thanking everyone for coming to shows and buying records.

On the landing, just outside our bedroom, there is a desk with a couple of cupboards, and that is where most of the collection is.
Above the desk is a six foot wall rug of Meat

In the bedroom, there is a corner by the door where i've framed and hung a few fav things.
Signed copy of Bat, signed pics, a pic of me in the crowd at RAH, and the first Meat cassette I owned (Rock & Roll Hero).

BTW, little note on framing things like cassettes that can't go into pic frames.........

Poundland and the 99p shop have been known to sell little 3d display pieces for tennis or golf fans.

Something like this one I just found on e bay

They're pretty cheap and cheerful, and it's easy to prise the back off, take off the mini golf clubs, balls, tennis rackets, etc, put new backing on the backboard, and use it to frame something that won't go in a conventional frame (such as my cassette).

They do look quite good when they are finished, and it's a great way to display some of your fav items (badges etc) without breaking the bank on specially made frames

I've had this for years and never seen anyone else with one.

Its an A4 size lyrics sheet. Has the Paradise lyrics on the back

I got told they were given out during concerts in 78-79. I got it signed by the man himself in Oxford street HMV (or was it virgin?) at the couldn't have said it better signing. He commented and said "wow thats old!"

Just thought i would share and see what people thought..

Wow that's fantastic, and even better that Meat signed it.

Ok I hope this works, it's the first time I've uploaded pictures on here. This is the concert programme from the first time I saw Meat back in 78 in Sydney. I was still in school back then so couldn't afford to buy a programme, but luckily managed to get it on ebay last year. I was going to get Meat to sign it at the concerts this year, but unofrtunately he wasn't signing stuff this time, so hope to get him to sing it sometime in the future. The other is the original newspaper add for the concert, which I've kept all these years.

Thanks so much for that Andy, I didn't like seeing the red cross in the box instead of Meat.
