I've just checked Amazon.co.uk

they have "Meat Loaf live in Australia" DVD in PAL (UK) format as due for relaese on 4 October 2004 as a 2xDVD Box Set, few further details. If you give them your e-mail they'll let you know when it comes in.

Checked two other UK suppliers but no info. there as yet.

After looking at various sites that are selling the DVD they still say 14th Sept & that its a 2 Disc edition. The DVD doesn't look like it has enough content to cover two discs. So hopefully on the 14th the CD & DVD are coming out together in a boxset & then they will be released seperately on 28th Sept & 5th Oct.

Well, it sounds feasable to me anyway!

So long,
Martin
Just found some additional info on the UK release of the DVD on www.play.com. The set list is as Martin has already said above and on 2 discs as Mike has already told us. Play.com have put the release date back to 18th October. Running time is approximately 2 hours 48 mins (!!!). Additional material includes:

Meat Loaf track by track commentary
Photo gallery
Behind the scenes footage

The cover art is the same as the "Very Best Of" CD with a picture of an orchestra airbrushed over the top.

The liner notes say:

Filmed over two nights in February, in Melbourne, Australia where Meat Loaf performed with the internationally reowned Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. As Meat Loaf comments: 'Ever since 'Bat Out Of Hell' was recorded, I always envisioned performing these songs with an orchestra. It may have taken 25 years to finally realise the opportunity but I think it was well worth the wait.'

I'm sure it will be more than worth the wait!!!

Does anyone happen to know if the Region 1 version of the DVD has DTS sound? I know that the region 2 does but I've ordered Region 1 (cos its out 1st!!). Doens't really matter if its not cos I'll just get the region2 one as well!

Also, how come the release date keeps being put back? Now October 4th Region 1 (according to email I got of the official website) & 18th October Region 2 (according to Play.com )

I didn't manage to get a copy while I was in the States - but I do know for a fact that Virgin Records in Caesars Palace in Vegas sold out of the DVD on the first day it was on sale last week!

Excellent ! But just out of curiousity .. when did it go on sale there Andy ?
I thought it wasn't supposed to be released until October 5th, and the CD is going to be released on September 28th :)
