Episode Detail: Pelts - Masters of Horror
In “Pelts,” a fur trader (Meat Loaf) uses the skins of supernatural raccoons to construct a perfect coat, but the pelts turn violently on those who wear them. John Saxon. Directed by Dario Argento from a script by Matt Venne, who adapted F. Paul Wilson's short story.

I just watched the show .. it was .. um ... different ....

In one word - WOW. Yes, it was different. And once again, Meat was not Meat acting a role - he was Jake Feldman, a real jerk. I will not reveal any more plot - saving it for those who haven't seen it yet. But the story is very different from standard horror. As we have all figured from the publicity photo of Meat on the floor, Jake does die, but not the way you expected, or at least I expected.

Damn . . . . missed the first 10 minutes last night so I'll have to watch it again OnDemand, but what I did see . . . . Wow! Very different and, you are right, vrg, Meat's character was quite the unsavory slimeball!! I've become quite fond of Meat as the bad guy - he's just so good at it! I found myself wondering just how low his character would stoop next.

Actually though, I found this story quite interesting. I guess we all have to be aware of how our actions impact others . . . this story certainly took that notion to the extreme!!

I've been quite the fan of this show since it started and I must say, this one had some of the most "disturbing" special effects I've seen yet. In a nutshell . . . don't watch this right after dinner!!

I'll say nothing else because I don't want to ruin it for anyone that hasn't seen it yet, but definitely SEE IT!

I was trying for a better word for jerk, while having to avoid the word that fit the best but would have been banned - and me with it, probably! Slimeball is great, thanks. I also wondered how low he would go - and he went pretty far.

Jake Feldman suffered the most from this premise. He was falsely accused of 'getting the ball rolling' and he didn't.

I avoid human horror movies because I find the violence and gore hard to take, but I was set to see this as a movie only, and I agree that the special effects were so believable and great that I had to refocus and remind myself that it was only a movie.

Now, we've really teased those who haven't seen this yet.

Have just finished watching it with the kids. My sons (18 and 15) sat with raised eyebrows most of the way through, and my daughter (13) got up and walked out the room during the first five minutes.

In retrospect I should have watched it myself before I let my daughter watch it.

I saw it again last night/this morning at 2:30AM my time. Wanted to clarify some story parts, and of course see the ending again, or the introduction to it, lol. Now, don't tell me you aren't interested in seeing the beginning of the ending again!??

It's uploaded to Radiomasters site but I have no idea of the link.

It weighs 350mb and is split into 8 rar files (self extracting).

The pelts is a good episode full of the usual gore of dario argento, meat plays and good part in it and nice to see John Saxon starring.
