Ah, but whether the chef is here or not, you're still going to be paying for the set meal for 4 at the end of the day. And no one has said that they're not going to enjoy the whole set meal

No chef expects you to like everything he cooks, that would be unrealistic. So with that in mind, could the chef please offer up a sampling of another dish, I'm getting kinda hungry

Sorry for not getting the metaphorical sense of the statement.

Have I ever doubted that?

I think you know that I'm neither ungrateful nor a "saboteur".

The discussion has totally gotten out of hand. Some were unaware of how sensitive artists can be when it comes to their work, some people took certain statements the wrong way and now the sh*t has hit the fan.

I think everything that needed to be said on the issue has been said. So why don't we all just gather around another virtual pizza (or another meatball / piece of chicken?* ) and bury the hatchet?

*I promise I will refrain from my habit of extensively analyzing everything in this case.

I had a chocolate bar containing hazelnuts, nougat and caramel.

But that of course is off Topic ...

OK, if we're really taking the chinese meal metophore that seriously.....

Meat allowing the cameras into the studio is very much like being invited into the chinese chef's kitchen.

Now you know that if you just sit at your table long enough, a nice hot finished meal will land on the table in front of you.
However, as most people are likely to do, you accept the kind offer and go into the kitchen to see the magic happen.

When cooking, chef's will often taste the food to see how it's coming along, and if they should offer you a taste out of generosity, you should either decline to taste, or accept the offer in the spirit which it was made.
If you tasted the chinese chef's food, pulled a face and say "not being funny mate, but that's f*cking rank" you'd not only find yourself out of the kitchen, you'd be thrown out of the resteraunt.

No, you don't need to respond to the taster with "OH MY GOD, THIS FOOD HAS BLESSED MY LIFE, I AGAIN HAVE REASON TO LIVE " but at least stay politely on the positive side until you taste the dish proper.
If you don't like the food once you've taten the finished meal, THEN you've got the right to complain. But not until then. And even recorded, mixed and polished is NOT the finished product when it's filmed on a video camera and posted on youtube.
The finished product is when you buy the CD, take it home, and listen to it on a proper player.

If you are a fan of a chef, and you enjoy their cooking, then you trust that their latest dish will please you.
If you don't like a chefs cooking you will go to another resteraunt to eat and stey away from the first chefs kitchen.

One more point.
A meal takes a certain ammount of time to prepare.
If it takes 45 mins to cook something, you can't cook it in 20, 25, or even 40.
Stamp your feet demanding sauce all you want, but if you're not prepared to wait the time it takes to cook the meal, then leave the resteraunt, stay at home, write your own recipe, and make your own damn sauce

So, if I could make a Dim Sum-mary of that, even if we're hoping for a Buddha's Delight but think we can taste Stinky Tofu instead, we should make neither Sweet nor Sour comments but just say we are Wonton for more?

Gottit.

Dave, please don't give up the day job. In fact, you should spend more time on the day job and less time with those puns

I remember watching classic albums, where at times some of the tracks on Bat Out Of Hell are "deconstructed" while Meat sits at the mixing desk. Thought it was really interesting to hear how the album tracks were composed etc. I remember thinking that the individual pieces when heard in isolation on that TV show sounded to my highly untrained ears ... bloody awful, but when you add them into the mix that is the final released product it's a world of difference.

To keep the food analogies going, I absolutely detest coconut with a vengeance, it is in my opinion the devils food, can't abide the stuff in the slightest, but ... one of my favourite curries is a Chicken Korma. The ingredients and the end product do not always go hand in hand with taste.

It's not a metaphor, it's an analogy

I was kinda busy over the weekend playing baseball myself. Was it even televised? I would like to know more on the game and cant' find info anywhere.

I completely disagree with that statement. But then anything a "beaver basher" would say would be taken with a pinch of salt by me.

Oh by the way, the other thought I had was that we were listening to a streamed, compressed audio / video stream thingy. Wipes out some (if not a lot!) of the quality of the final product when listened to on a decent player from a CD.

Like a cheapo microwave version of a classic chinese dish. Sorry.

I think most people have moved on from the clip now, no need to clutch at straws.

Thank you for the clip and thank you for telling me my name is cool. I like Meat Loaf and wolves so I put them together and came up with it. But I would howl for him also.

Ladies of mlukfc:
The latest storm of tweets lit up a ladies group on facebook. Inquiring minds would like to know if anyone on this site has had a bra signed by Meat?

Men of mlukfc:
I don't want to discount you either, you may have had one signed for your mom, girlfriend, wife, or your alternative lifestyles so feel free to share your bra signing as well.

Of course, the latest bra signing was for charity, but that sent lightbulbs off in the heads of some female fans. The question now is, will the Cowboy be open to it?
