Brian May! How many great guitar players are acknowledged scientists as well? Isn't he chancellor of an university, too?

Yes, John Moores Liverpool, for a couple of years now .. same year his doctorate was awarded. He replaced Cherie Blair!

I didn't suggest they were having an affair .. But he did replace her as Chancellor when her run of office had completed its seven year term and she had to stand down. She was then appointed an Emeritus Chancellor for her services to the university during her chancellorship .. so they well may meet up .. but I doubt they'll be linked up in any other pairing

So is Brian May going to be involved in this album too? If so there'll certainly be plenty of guitarists on it

But as a fan of Queen and also Brian May's solo stuff I'd be more than happy to see his involvement in another Meat project.

Nice to see Brian May in L.A. !! The twitter with Randy and Paul playing the riff nearly floors me. I trust this is going to be steller album. Meat! I'm not worthy!

People seem to be forgetting that Brian May's involvement with Bat 3 was less than stellar.

BFG needed more guitars yes but BM's contribution was still good.

I was under the impression that Brian's guitar work on Bat3 was a highlight? Even Jim Steinman himself loved it.

I do hear the similarities between 4-11 sec. mark of Randy's groovin' tweet.

The biggest problem with Brian May's guitarwork is that there wasn't enough of it. What there was was fantastic, but no solo in the middle is a huge anti climax.

I thought Bad for Good was unnecessarily shortened on the album. Indeed there should have been a solo after the "put your foot on the gas let it go, let it go" bit and the God Speed bit should have been put back in. Final criticism is that the piano was turned down too low. Other than that the production works well imo.

it needs a good extended remix as a single bside or something

i thought that the whole of bat3 has been shortened too much, to sound more mainstream-y. Just listen to the intro to IACBTMN and compare it to the original pan'box version, and you'll know what I mean.

It certainly does have it's moments though...

100% agreed. You really miss that lack of solo in the middle... it just feels "empty".

I totally agree with the BAT3 thing, I think some of those songs were shortened and it wasn't a good thing. Luv cx

Based on the Brian May twitter's, Meat could have another career working for QVC or one of the other shopping channels.
