For anything to do with Meat Loaf membership, everything I've known was been terrible, hence I now consider it a big waste of money.
It's the PR company you're dealing with, they don't give a crap about the fans, just about their money, as with any other PR company.

S.

P.S. I'd still like my £23.99 back from 1995 please, when I got one crappy envelope with upcoming appearances and nothing else at all after that, even after several letters of complaint.

I've said it before & will say it again

I am glad that I saved my money on the "Official Site" I don't know what it was - but there was something not quite right with it for me

I am happy here - Great Fans - Great Friends - Not a "RIP OFF"

Thanks Guys

Interesting news, Rick.

I reported this scam to the California Department of Consumer Affairs in Jan....so far I haven't heard from them either. Maybe its an American thing - they don't recognise the rights of anywhere else because those areas simply don't matter!!!!! I am not going to believe anything good will come of this new, reinvented scam/fan club (i.e. no difference from the previous new, reinvented scam/fan club) until I hold physical fulfillment of their promises in my sticky, cash-light hand.

Me? Cynical? Nah!!

I had a look... and thought "nah" i'm not going to pay to show that i'm a fan of anyone, surely buying the albums, dvds and going to the concerts should be enough. The only fan club i'd ever think about joining is this one simply because the person running it isn't a high paid web designer or otherwise, the person running this is a real person with a valid reason for the payment who's gone out of his way to create this.

Angry Money down the drain

Hi,
i joined in June last year money was taken of my credit card 24hrs later i have had no welcome packs no letters nothng emailed them tonnes of times no replies then i got email to say i was getting 6 months free membership (but really i am only getting 3 as my membership wouldn't have run out till June )and that it would be free cos i had to log in a special code and i could go on all areas of the web site well guess what i cant, it wont let me go on anything but the news page.i have emailed them seven times in the last week and not a reply to any of them.
I have reported the site to watch dog may be if a few more people do the same thing THEY may look into it and get some answers cos the fans dont seem to be able to get any where.
I would just like my money back, i may as well of thrown the money down the drain, it is a real shame that this is happening to a site that carries Meatloaf's name.

Just got an email letting me know that if you're in the mlukfc now you can join the meatloaf.net fanclub with the 6 months like the other members. I'm more than pleased for the mlukfc that this has happened. They deserve to have this. Still not happy about the costs of the packages but thats not the MLUKFC.s or Meats faults I guess. Just a shame for those of us who went and joined .net they day they let people sign up again. As now I don't get the free 6 months Maybe just maybe one day this will all work out in our favour.

Congrats MLUKFC for being part of this. For all of your hard work it's the least you deserve

Sorry not to have been able to tell you paying MLUKFC members about this before, we've been negotiating hard. The 6 months free membership allows you to access the packages.

Let me say that we've only been able to get this offer to those with valid, current e-mail addresses and it will be repeated in the April RVM magazine along with a lengthy article about the situation.

We were unable to get any "pay free" meet and greets but neither are meatloaf.net members getting them. If you want to meet Meat now you have to buy a Platinum Package - and no I don't like it either, we just wanted you all to be on an equal footing with .net

Will I be buying one NO!

I suspect this is the future folks, Fan Experience packages are lucrative, rock is a business and businesses have to make money - it just leaves a bitter taste done like this after what we had before doesn't it?

I do have to say thanks to Michael Brandvold at .net though, he arranged this and while we agree to differ he has got us equality.

Default Paying To See Ur Hero Is A Disgrace

I Missed Out In A Meet N Greet When Meat Loaf Came To The Point Depot Dublin, In December 03, When He Was Sick And Was Unable To Take Meet N Greets, But There Is No Way I Would Pay To Meet Him I Think Its A Total Disgrace And No Loyalty To The Fans.

This Is A Rip Off To The Fans And A Quick Way To Make A Buck By This So Called Meat Loaf.netfan Club Who Refuse To Answer Any Of My E-mails As They Are Not Taking Emails Now They Are Been Sent Back Directly To You.

Default Stop ur credit card renewals before they try again

Like Everyone Else I Paid In July Last Year 2004 And Have Recieved Nothing, I Would Advise Veerybody Who Did Pay By Credit Card To Contact Their Bank Just In Case They Try To Debit Money From Your Account Again When The Renewal Is Up Even Though They Told Me That It Was Up To The Member To Renew It, I Would Be Dubious About This,

I Will Do Whatever It Takes To Make Sure Meat Loaf Knows Whats Going On If He Doesn't Know Already, I Would Urge People To Send Letters Emails To The Meat Loaf's Management On This Matter, Make It Ur Business To Confront Them At The Shows If It Even Means A Demonstration,

Why Should We Be Ripped Off, And Then They Have The Odesity To Keep Sending Us Emails From Thier Site But We Cant Get In Touch With Them And Then They Ask Us To Pay More To See Him Platiumn My A**

Thanks Mike - I have used my code to join for the 6 months - but as everyone else has said - NO I will not be getting a package either. I have already got my tix for the concerts.

Can we upgrade to a better seats now then - even the lowest priced fan seats ?????

So, does this mean that people who were members of the original ill-fated .net fan club, and MLUKFC qualify for 12 months free membership in total?

Thumbs down Hold On A Second Here: I Hear Alarm Bells

No Matter What They Are Offering Us Now They Should Have Had The Decency To Answer Our E-mails And Commited To Their Promises They Failed And They Failed Miserably They Ripped Us Off They Were Quick Enough To Take Our Money , I Am Afraid To Say I Hear Alarm Bells And I Would Urge Everyone Not To Join Them Or Have Anything To Do With Them Unless We Get A Hand Written Apology From Them

My understanding is that the team now running meatloaf.net are totally different from the previous incarnation.

As far as I can see they do not accept any responsibility for what has gone before, they are a separate unrelated company, the people who ran it then seem to have disappeared into the ether.

What we have tried to do is get the same "benefits/access" for this tour as our meatloaf.net counterparts, to do this you have to access the free 6 month membership offer. This then allows you to buy a $400.00 package to guarantee a "meet and greet" - I'll say no more.....for now.

A hand-written appology for what? For the sins and indescretions of others? That would be like me appologizing for Joe stepping on Peter's foot!

Let me set up some history for y'all. In this history, when I refer to "Meat Loaf," I am talking about either himself, management, legal representation, power of attorney - whatever. I do not pretend to know who makes this type of decisions for him, nor would I (in all decency) care to speculate.

PAST = A company called Turnstyle worked with Meat Loaf (in some form or another) to set up a fan club. Turnstyle, for whatever reason was unable to fufill the duties of the job they were hired to do. At some point, a decision was made somewhere by some one to cut off ties with Turnstyle. All of that is in the past.

PRESENT = A company called Network Signatures has agreed to form a new "fan club" for Meat Loaf. They have set up a ticketing system wherein you do not have to deal with the BS involved with Ticketmaster, but can purchase premium seating directly from them.

Turnstyle and Network Signatures are in no way affiliated with each other, much in the same way Turnstyle and Karr Management were in no way affiliated with eachother. Now, should Turnstyle have offered hand-written appologies to the people who were not granted meet and greets because they messed up the supposed lotto system, surprizingly having the same people being "lucky" time after time after time after time? HELL NO! Turnstyle had nothing to do with the mess Karr Management left at the end - exactly as Network Signatures has absolutely nothing to do with the mess created by Turnstyle.

*stepping off my soap box*

Default Ripp Off The Year

Can i just say Dave your answer is typical of well SH** HAPPENS,
TOUGH , I DONT THINK SO,

WE CAN GO ON BLAMING EVERYBODY IN THE WHOLE WORLD FOR THIS MESS IF THEY WERE PREPARED TO TAKE IT ON THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHAT THEY WERE GETTING INTO I JUST DON'T BUY THAT .
I am not on about meet n greets apologies i am on about the fact that we recieved no offical welcoming to the club, packs etc etc with the literature we were promised, what did we pay $40.00 for.

Dont you think that we should be given some explanation through the site as to why we were RIPPED off.

Why should us fans believe that this won't happen again,

I know the company at the time was Turnstyles and they refused to anwer our E-Mails which are been sent back immediately but also the new company Network Signatures are also refusing our E-Mails.

So who is kidding who, in my country u get what u pay for!!!

( RIP OFF THE YEAR )

Again, why should Network Signatures be held responsible in any way whatsoever by the actions of Turnstyle. Did Network Signatures ever come out and say they were "taking over" for Turnstyle? I cannot see any evidence of that. It does not matter what country you are from, the plain and simple truth is you cannot hold someone's feet to the fire to fix something they just had nothing to do with. The best course of action for anyone who feels they have been wronged by Turnstyle would be to file charges with their local legal authorities against Turnstyle. I believe Network Signatures is going beyond the call of duty in trying rectify a situation they had nothing to do with - my belief. From everything I read, the Network Signatures fan club is an entirely new entity - separate and apart from the fan clubs set up by Karr Managment and Turnstyle in the past. Your grievance is with Turnstyle - not with Network Signatures - from the way I see it. I could be wrong. I am only human. I am just saying that personally, I fail to see where Network Signatures is in anyway to blame for any course of action taken by Turnstyle or Karr Management in the past.
