I ordered my UK copy from EIL.com. It cost a bit more than Amazon.com.uk (including shipping), but they had the entire set list on their site, and I'm sure it'll be just fine

Do they do it in PAL format, that doesn't work well with my DVD player, for example my MJ Bad tour will play but turns out B&W, where as if played on the PC it'll work normally. So when I can finally buy this I am hoping there is a PAL format available...

Knowing them they'd probably cut Piece of the Action and Midnight from the US release and give the UK the whole concert including Nowhere fast, JTG, and Both of Us. |

Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrgggghhhh!!! My DVD arrived today but the mailman left a note in the mailbox saying that it was delivered to my neighbor. That neighbor is currently not at home and I don't know when the hell he'll return.

Be bad luck if you'd had a falling out and he kept it and wouldn't give it to you.

Fortunately he isn't, so I was able to get my DVD today. I'm watching it right now. I don't care about the interferences in the picture, the quality is much better than that of the old recordings I had to put up with so far. I'm glad they kept the original 4:3 format and did not transfer it to a fake 16:9 format. I've always been a fan of the Rockpalast broadcasts, it's fantastic that I can finally add Meat Loaf to my Rockpalast collection. Eagle Rock have done a good job once again.
The concert is a pleasure to watch. The Paradise intro alone is a reason to buy the DVD. Steve Buslowe's bass solo - WOW! What you get to see and hear are f*cking amazing musicians and a dedicated singer/actor. I love how his belly is vibrating in close-up, LOL. It's great to have some footage of Jim and Meat on stage together. The interview is amusing, I pity the interviewer a little bit. That DVD is a little gem, thanks to those who arranged for the release. Just rock 'n' roll theater with no frills. Those were the days, no Diane Warren in sight. "Good night, Frankfurt". |
