Personally I think it's Meat's complete lack of blending in that makes him a success.

I think that's exactly where and when they failed, when they tried to blend Meat too much into things with IACBTMN and COM. Surely something like BAAB or Bad For Good is much more different and bombastic. IACBTMN was already a successful single for Celine Dion and I'm sure that's why they went for it again, even though it should really be reason NOT to do it.

It was definitely a reason not to do it, it completely alienated anyone who disliked the song the first time around and anyone who dislikes Celine Dion...I'm sure there'll have been people who didn't even bother to listen to it because of one or both of those reasons. They really should have released a completely unknown song, Fresh Meat if you will!

I don't like Celine Dion but I liked her version. When I first heard Meat's version I thought "Good Lord, have they run out of songs and good ideas?"

From which album? It never appeared on a Meat Loaf record aside from Live Around The World.

I just mean if Rocky Horror decided to release a third single (Transvestite and Time Warp were released). Couldve been great

Okay, but that's not a Meat Loaf album.
As far as I remember, Meat has never released a live song as a single so far. The only one I know of is a promo single of Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad from the Live With The MSO album. |

For me greatest singles to not be released, well like many I was hoping for a single release of Testify from CHSIB.
However the big one for me was something like Pig or Future not being released from Bat 3. Pig because in my view it is the best song on that album. Future because of the buzz surrounding Hudson at the time. That said I don't really care for singles and if they chart or not, as long as the artists I like are producing good music thats what I'm interested in. Yes I like them to do well but the charts don't really tell you what is good and what isn't, it just tells you what is popular. Not really saying there isn't good music in the charts but the ratio isn't great. |

BOOH is like Bohemian Rhapsody you just can't edit it, and expect it to be effective. It has to be at it's full length baby!!!

00:50 - Sirens are screaming 01:49 - Like a bat out of hell 02:25 - Hitting the highway 02:50 - Gotta be damned 03:22 - Done dancing through the night, guitar bit and end. The extended live edit doesn't make much more sense. Last edited by evil nickname; 15 Sep 2010 at 23:21. |

Evil Nickname is right you can do it in under 4 mins. Wario get cracking on your next project but don't post it here, we've seen enough!!!

Don't give me that wtf dukey boy. I said if BOOH was edited; it wouldn't be as effective as the full version which is the truth. I didn't think you could edit it down to under 4 mins and have it half decent, until Evil Nickname showed us how. But I HATE the edited version without the intro, motocycle guitar, and the ending. Maybe Wario can work his magic but I doubt it.
