Ever so slightly disappointed it won't be a track from the new album, but it'll be great to see Meat perform regardless

It should, but what's the betting that the producers enforce a cut down version which'll be a shame.

True I guess, but I suppose even a cut down version will be 4 or 5 mins of Meaty goodness.

I wonder if next week Meat will do an Opera song, and therefore go from "popstar" to "operastar" himself?* **

*Requires considerable stretching of the definition of popstar, but hey!
**Would be awesome.

Well I for one will be watching.

On a slightly offtopic note can something not be done about Meat's staus here? I think that Meat should have a category all of his own rather than as he currently is a junior loafer

I have been thoroughly enjoying Meat's appearance on mainstream telly even if his opinion is sometimes annoyingly 'skipped over'. I can't wait for Friday to hear him sing again on TV! I'm trying to convert my boyfriend to Meat Loaf-he assures me it will never happen but I WILL have Meat played at my wedding...and the husband-to-be will have to love it or lump it! Maybe even LOAF it! Haha.

Can't wait to see you on tour M, I loves u!

I think he did when he signed on as Meat Loaf .. he was categorised as "Himself" wasn't he? But I guess as Cowboy he still knows who's the main attraction anyway

In one of his recent videos Meat says "it's the first time ever that a T.V. show has actually allowed me to sing Bat Out Of Hell". He sang that song three years ago at one of those dancing shows, didn't he? I remember how annoyed I was by the dancing because it did not go with the music and you could hardly see him during the performance. I hope this time there will be nothing that distracts from Meat and that fantastic song.

It'll be interesting to see how a female opera singer fits into it too. Hopefully very little and it'll be the full song.

I hope it will be a little like Freddy Mercury's duet with Montserrat Caballé.

In 07' Meat was on Dancing with the Stars (in the US) and he sang Bat and Cry Over Me on a results show. To my recollection it was live and Bat was edited. Maybe he's talking UK T.V.?

Yeah, that worked very well. Meat songs are normally very operatic in any case, so it should sound fantastic when combined with an opera singer.

If he is doing the full version, the producers RULE. I guess it's the perfect TV setting to hear it in all it's glory.

Last week they had Danielle Denise dueting with Mica, and she started with one song which led into another in duet with him. Whatever we are treated to tomorrow it will be a first :) .. very exciting. I can wait .. but am looking forward to it tremendously!!

This Bat version is 4:30 and it works . Now singing with Juliette Pochin. A great lady.
We split some of the lines . I believe it is exciting . Bat purest will most likely complain ,but not me. If they do, they do. I say, Go with the time and place Dude.
