I'm trying to trace my mother - haven't heard or seen from her for 54 years!
I don't know whether I'm doing the right thing - the need just gets stronger as the years pass to have some kind of closure

Did the same thing a few years ago Dottie, traced my father after 27 years and discovered I have another sister and two brothers.... Don't really have any contact now but at least I know now

Hynobabe - well I have a sister in OZ, and we are in contact daily by e mail.......
I have a brother somewhere but have not seen him since April 1970, and as for my mother, I do not know even if she is still alive.. As you say the knowing makes things easier to accept .......... I must admit sometimes I am frightened of opening a can of worms, that I cann't close again....... |

Ahhh I hope it all goes well for you dottie on your journey of discovery and I hope you find all the answers that you've longed seeked, good or bad....
I've had bad day today, skidded in my car this morning going to work and its the first time i've ever skidded, which shook me up slightly. I passed my test in Febuary just gone and still kinda learning, I was only going about 10 mph, thankfully I wasn't going any faster, dread to think what could have happened......guess its one of lifes learing curves............. |

If they got rid of the (too many managers) then the "WORKERS" would be OK |

Feeling a little sad, Zeus my youngest cat has to have an operation today, I hadn't noticed that he had an infected neck, which I had cleaned yesterday and which appeared to be okay... and healing well....
I will be picking him up sometime this evening feeling so guilty......
