Your dearest Meat Loaf item?
Hello,
I want to present my dearest Meat Loaf item here, and I hope many more will do the same (in this thread)... In august 2008 ( 2008-08-08 ) me and my wife travelled for 14 hours by car for the Meat Loaf concert in Bergen, Norway. The show was a part of the "Casa De Carne Tour" and the show in Bergen was on the smallest stage on the tour, so it was intimate After a great concert, me, my wife and a few more persons waited serveral hours outside the artist entrance hoping to spot Meat Loaf or some of the band. The waiting gave results and the whole band was mingling outside with the fans for a long time, and after even more waiting Meat Loaf himself came out. Meat Loaf was to be transported away in a Volvo S80, but took the time to say hello, and he signed a lot of things for the few happy fans standing there. I was lucky and got my newly bought cap signed, and I took pictures of him signing my cap, my dearest Meat Loaf item Anyone else from this forum who were there? Enjoy the pictures! I certainly enjoyed taking them... |

My pride and joy has to be my candid I took at the Virgin Mega Store Signing at London in 2006;
Was just ready to take it when he looked up and smiled... Priceless ! I'm surprised how well it actually turned out as many can tell you I was hardly with it at the time !! |

My dearest Meat Loaf item used to be Bat II album cover condom. At the time I bought it, it has never been even used!!! I used to treasure it and look at it most lovingly every day thinking about the day that I can actually find some use for it...
Unfortunately, it is no longer in my possession. There are plenty of evil people in this world and my most treasured item has been abducted... |

In case you refer to the pics in this thread, I don't think it has changed that much. I assume it just makes a difference whether you take a picture of him at some promo event or after an exhaustive show.

Mine's probably the drumstick I got from John in May 2007, he tried about 2-3 times to get one to me before I finally caught the one I have now and I feel so, so lucky to have it.
Also my laminate, t-shirt and photos from the meet & greet in London last year. (photos to follow soon) |

Everything is precious :) .. but the three most so would be the dollar bill he gave me, the autographed copy of an ROL calendar front cover that he included in the CHSIB tour programme, and the suit he wore as Colonel Divine ..

For me it's the M&G picture from Clearwater, Florida (which I've cropped for my avatar).
I admit I've seen better pictures of myself .. lol. But we had the funeral for my Dad two days before the show in Clearwater (he passed away from lung cancer) and I didn't know until the last minute if I was going to be able to make the trip to Florida. Meat helped ease my pain ... and every time I see that picture it reminds me of that special night. Vicki Last edited by Vickip; 01 May 2009 at 04:16. |

my dearest meatloaf "item" is the memory that i hi5 him as he run across the front row!!!
Actually item wise, the drumstick and pick from the london show last august, and probably the saddest, the water bottle that nearly hit me that meat threw off the stage. it sits with the drumstick and pick (sealed with an note attached so no-one throws it away by mistake). now i just have to wait for cloning to become more affordable, mwah ha ha |

the pick and drumstick were thrown to the crowd at the end of the concert, the gentleman beside me actually got the drumsticks but rather than keep them for himself, he gave one to me and one to a woman from hungary. as for the water bottle i dont think he was aiming for us, he just chucked it off stage once he'd finished drinking, the crowd just happened to be down there too, lol
yay, new memory thread!!! |

I remember meeting her (surely there can't have been two women from Hungary at that show) in the queue before the show, she hadn't seen Meat live for something like 15 years and was really nervous and excited about seeing him again. Nice to know she came away with a keepsake after the show.
