Is any of you guys able to explain about the word bootleg in here? As far as I am aware the CD I have of her is fully legitimate!

lol
Bootleg is the name of the festival, hosted by radio/tv network WDR, which this concert is a part of. Btw, tickets are only 12€! And it's 2km away from my house |

very good show.
Just a few quick thoughts.
The whole show included three bands, Marion was the last one, playing nearly an hour. Guess she played about 10 songs, but I'm not sure. She played at a very (and I mean VERY) small venue, smallest I've ever been to. Unlike the shows with Meat she now has a full band (two guitarrists, a drummer and a pianist) and plays either keyboard or guitar herself. The set is much rockier than with Meat, also a good part of the songs are the same, but with completely different arrangements. She started off with Set me free, followed by heads will roll and falling away. She also played Here I am and that song about Jim Morrisons girlfriend. That's all I can think of at the moment. I was very pleasently surpirsed as she did IACBTMN! only with keyboard. She said Meat Loaf would, but couldnt be here as he's touring the US at the moment (lol). I managed to get the spot right in front of her, first row, and even met her outside after the show. Had a quick chat, but didnt have enough time to sign/take pics. She said she'd change clothes and be back in a few minutes, unfortunately I couldnt wait that long, as I would have missed my train. The show was recorded for TV and will be aired on Nov 4th, 0.30am. I took a lot of pics and videos, but am too exhausted right now, will post them tomorrow. Definitely worth the 12€ I paid for the show |

Setlist (Marions instrument):
1. Set Me Free 2. Heads Will Roll (guitar) 3. Falling Away (acoustic guitar) 4. 13 Days (keys) 5. For You I´ll Die (Marion solo playing keys) 6. It`s All Coming Back To Me Now (Marion solo playing keys) 7. All I Wanna Do Is You 8. Crawl (keys) 9. Thank You For Loving Me (acoustic guitar) 10. Here I Am (acoustic guitar) 11. Break You So all 7 songs out of which she performed 6 nightly opening for Meat plus 3 more of her album songs plus It´s All Comming Back. The band was the classic lineup: guitar (not two, radiomaster), bass, keys, drums and Marion. They seemed to be enthusiastic kids, probably from Scandinavia and the songs sounded fresher and less sterile/poppy than on the album. There were less than 100 people there, but it was not a properly announced regular gig but a taping for TV (as radiomaster said it will be aired on german station WDR on 4th of November). Her words before doing IACBTMN were like: "This is the first song you ever heard of me in Germany. Usually I do it with Meat Loaf, but he is too much of a busy guy to join me here on stage tonight." She said "Here I Am" is her favorite song. Otherwise she mainly used the same words/storys as heard during Meats tour (and I dislike those shirts she wears). Nevertheless to me she has the talent, voice and songs! MMP |

you're right, guitar and bass. In my defence: it was quite late when I wrote that post.
I must say that the lighting was horrible for photographing. If you used flash the pics came out too bright and without flash they were too dark. But here are those that came out decent: |

thanks a lot to Betty for loading this one up:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4Uolo0tVak (set me free) the sound is horrible due to my camera's crappy microphone and I had to hop around the tv guy, who incidently had to stand in front of me most of the time. Still worth watching for the pictures though two to follow (including iacbtmn) dont know how long I need to get them uploaded though |
