Default new music worth checking out!

I thought I'd start a thread to post new music you come across and think other Meat Loaf fans would enjoy as well!

I'll start off with:

Foxy Shazam - Oh Lord
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tg4CPaKzSUU

the reviews call it Freddy Mercury meets Jim Steinman (with Elton John on piano)

If you want to hear more of them, their self-titled album will be out later this month.

(gotta admit I kinda stole this from the Steinman board)

Rather Ben Folds than Elton. Ignore Monstro's comment, that music is cool. More interesting than that song Mr. Nally contributed to HCTB.

By the way - Eric Sean Nally from Foxy Shazam co-wrote some songs on HCTB

I think a lot of you Loafers should check out Nightwish's album "Dark Passion Play". It's pretty awesome to be fair, and very gothic. It might be a bit heavy for you soft rock lovers though.

I just heard the album from Black Country Communion and it's well worth checking out. Band is Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian

I love Nightwish! Mainly the old stuff with Tarja though

That guy SERIOUSLY needs to stay away as far as possible from helping to write songs for Meat Loaf! Honestly if there is a single factor I can point out as being an influence for Meat Loaf having lost fans this year I'd easily say it's due to Mr. Nally and Justin Hawkins!

Sure, it's solely the fault of the "dick in the pants" song... I'd blame it on "Lesbian" Love, a song you like, if I remember it correctly. We all have different preferences, some people fancy something that others loathe. I like Love Is Not Real and California, although I have to admit that I probably would have an issue with the California lyrics if the accompanying music wouldn't sound like a parody of silly 1980s pop sometimes.

I like Foxy Shazam's way to perform. Don't get the Steinman reference though. Their music is rather simple, I tried to play the song RadioMaster posted the link to and it was very easy. Steinman's music is quite complex and the lyrics are a class of their own.

not really new, but this song was originally supposed to be recorded for Bat2, before they decided to have all Jim songs:

Sounds very 1980s, a little Bon Jovi like. Would have been a good track for the Bad Attitude era, I can picture Bob Kulick playing the guitar solo.

And I'm assuming one of them would be the first single
