Got a job interview tomorrow, am nervous
Hey guys, been out of work ages, got another job interview tomorrow. Had a few nerves today, hopefully won't be as bad tomorrow.
Guess I just wanted to get it off my chest and ask for some words of encouragement from you guys. One thing i'm gonna do is use Meat as inspiration. He's fought his whole life tgo get to where he is, he's a great motivator of people on stage and in various situations. I'm just gonna imagine him yelling at me to kill lol |

Don't be nervous, man. While it's true that you need them to eat and pay the rent, they also need you. They really don't give a shit 'who' they employ, so long as that particular statistic is capable of carrying out everything they need it to. You are that statistic. Think of a giant machine with an enormous conveyor pumping out boxed products. There are row upon row of batteries powering the machine. You are one of the batteries. When the batteries run down they get replaced. That's where you come in. Sound like exploitation? It is. That's capitalism for you. So when you go in tomorrow, don't be nervous, be ~~~~ing angry. Real ~~~~ing angry. Hopefully the anger will outweigh the nerves. Might even equal confidence. Either way, best of luck!

Thanks... that's one of the reason I don't bother or see the point to doing anything because there's always someone better than us, but everyone has different ear and eyes so sees and hears things different one person might go you are awful while someone else might go Woah your really good, but I know after its over I can say at least I tried

Hope it goes really well my friend. Now this is easy to say but harder to do - don't be scared! Be relaxed and confident. You know all the answers to the questions they are going to ask. They are easy questions. You would be great at that job. Be yourself and you'll do just fine.

Thanks again everyone, i'm sure i'll be fine. I know the answers, i've looked at their website and researched, i'm ready for the group assessment they will be doing even though i hate them. So i think i'll be okay. Don't feel too bad tonight, nerves will probably be worse tomorrow. I'm just trying not to build it up to much. I'll just go there and do my best, that's all you can do, i'll leave it all out on the stage.

Woohoo! I got the job guys! First job in over a year. The assessment went really well, I brought my A game and smashed it. I start tomorrow.
It's gonna be a real shock to the system! I just hope I can cope with it as last time I was in an office job I had terrible nerves that made me very ill. But i'm not going to let that happen this time. I'm full of positive energy and i'm going to do this. |
