Default Anyone got BOOH or CHSIB SACD?

I am thinking of getting a DVD player that can play SACDs (super audio CDs) and was wondering if anyone has Bat out of Hell multi channel SACD and/or Couldn't Have said it Better SACD.

If anyone does have these, are they worth getting? Are they actually in 5.1 surround? (I know there are 2 versions of BOOH, one in stereo & one multi channel, but don't know about CHSIB).

I have an amplifier that can do dolby digital 5.1 & DTS so I should be able to get full multi channel effect if they do support it, so any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not all SACD's give 5.1 Dolby Digital or DTS, they have a higher Bit Rate than Cd and give a vastly improved sound performance than Cd. I would recomend SACD, I have Bat 2 and it is brilliant.

Where did you manage to get Bat Out Of Hell 2 on SACD from??? I've done a Google search for it & turned up nothing - I'd LOVE to have Bat 2 on SACD - then I'd have three of my all time favourite albums in 5.1 sound would be amazing!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure to connect the DVD player to the amplifier with 3 analogue phono leads rather than use a digital cable. I have a DVD-Audio player and if you use a digital interconnect it doesnt play in DVDA but Dolby Digital, which is a heavily compressed medium, meaning you wont hear the true High quality audio. I presume this is the same with SACD but correct me if im wrong :)

Just got my new DVD player with SACD compatability & listened to CHSIB.

Oh My God! What a difference! The multichannel sound was fantastic! & it really makes a difference to the songs - I noticed things that I had never heard on the regular CD.

I'm off now to get BOOH SACD & try to track down BOOH2

In case anyone is still reading this or is interested - I just finished listening to Bat Out Of Hell Multi channel SACD... It was amazing! Sound was much better than the Hits out of Hell DVD and again I noticed things that I'd never heard on the regular CD version - especially Bat, Took The Words & Crying Out Loud.

All in all very pleased with my purchases - well worth buying a new DVD player for!

Now, if only I could find Bat out of Hell 2 on SACD...
