Default Which Fan Club Is More Worth Joining?

I was thinking of joining a Meat Loaf Fan Club, but I don't know which one to choose from because there are two fan clubs I know of (The UK Fan Club and the Official Fan Club.) Would I get more benifit from the UK Fan Club or the Official Fan Club? I am having difficulty choosing because I want to make sure I join the more beneficial fan club. I'd be most pleased if someone told me the exact benifits of joining the UK Fan Club and the Official Fan Club.
I know this fan club offered free Meet and Greets to members for Meat's re-dos of his canceled England concerts after he collapsed. I heard the Official Fan Club are offering VIP treatment for his summer concerts for $400 (I think it was dollar, don't shoot me if I'm wrong.) The price for that offer sounds like a rip-off to me. Well, back to the point, which fan club is more worth joining?

THIS ONE - most definately

You will be part of a great community - people here are so supportive - friendly & most of all loyal to Meat

I can only speak from my own experiences - but I have meet & made some lovely friends on here & looking forward to seeing more in the up coming tour.

You will not get that with the other fan club as there is no forum to get to know people.

As for the M&G - This forum did some on the last tour & when they went ahead it was a brilliant experience for those who got one - not all had the chance to see Meat as his illness was restricting him. BUT I don't think a fan should have to pay anyway - BUT believe it is a common thing across the pond

If you decide to joing here - you will be made mostr welcome

(My own views)

The thing that swayed me towards the UK Club was the fact that it's run, "by the fans for the fans".

Yes, there are Meets and Greets with the club, two out of the three times I've met Meat were thanks to MLUKFC, but this club - in my opinion - really isn't about that. We're not really about free gifts and "possessions".

Without meaning to sound at all cheesy, we're really just one huge group of friends who share this love for Meat Loaf with each other and have amazing fun doing it. As I said, it's run by the fans for the fans and that's exactly what we do, most people here have contributed something in some way, be it to the website, the running of the fanclub, the newsletters etc - just something small but it really makes a difference.

I certainly would encourage you to join, some of my most treasured memories are with these guys and I wouldn't swap 'em!

Thumbs up

I am a member of both but I think that although the official fan club is closer to Meat, the MLUKFC is better because it is certainly by fans for the fans and it is more British related rather than the official which focuses more on the U.S.A, most members are American.
It's nice to have our own fan club for Britain
