hmm my fella isnt a meat fan but he likes these

all revved up
Lemon
frying pan
Took the words
rock n roll dreams
Wolf at your door

and if your looking for something off the new album....
he seems to really like IACBTM, what about love and alive when they come on in the car

but his taste in music is slightly questionable

Hope this helps

There's two ways of looking at this, personally if I was only alllowed five tracks two of them would have to be BOOH and Paradise live, pick the right live tracks and there's half an hour of Meat. Add AFL and For Crying Out Loud and you're pushing an hour. Then of course when Bat3 was available as a radio show download the whole thing showed as one track, a good lawyer would defend the use of that as one track!!!!!

ok this may not mean much but in my sheltered existence people who i have met who don't like Meat genereally dont like BOOH, or AFL, they have already heard these a hundred times before and if they don't like them by now you will never change them by playing it once at a party. I say go with songs which you know are great but they may not have heard, playing stuff they will have already heard before and are set against won't win them over. My fella's fave ones (ish) are the ones he had never heard of before he met a Meat fan, i still laugh when i put the mp3 on in the car and he asks for 'it's defective' song

It's your house play them as many times as you want. I'm lucky my wife like's Meat's music but even if she didn't once i have a drink it's prettty much tough as i will play his music nonstop regardless who's there.

if itīs a group of non meat fans, you should

a) use the most popular songs
b) use catchy tunes
c) as people will chat and drink they definitely wont be able to point all their attention on the songs, so avoid too hard songs, which people have to listen to very clearly (such as Objects or FCOL)
and
d) as the new album is out you should play songs of it too.

So my choice would be:

AFL
Alive
Took the words
IACBTMN
DIST

(sorry, the radiopresenter comes through)

Yeah catchy/popular they ought to be:
"Paradise", "Anything for Love", "Rock and Roll Dreams", "Testify" and possibly "Blind as a Bat".

Agree with all those but I'd ditch BAAB and put in Bad For Good. Happy New Year to y'all

I like the way you think, Monstro.

I'm going to tuck this post away, in case I ever need to use it.

Thanks, J.
