Default 53. Everything Louder Than Everything Else

This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic.
Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!!!

Everything Louder Than Everything Else (8)

The Wasted Youth song! I can't believe Wasted Youth with other songs, except Bat Out Of Hell and Everything Louder. I love it. But the lyrics...
I said a lot I don't like that song what says about ideologies.
What is the first line? "Politically Correct" is terrible.
But the music is compensating me for it.

My fav line is: "I like my music like I like my life"
My fav part is: two verses in the middle of the song. This is the Meat Loaf Rap!
It's a little bit better than Out Of The Frying Pan but...

My score: 8

Average: 9.41 (131.8/14)

This song has many amazing Steinman quotes.

"I Know That I Will Never Be Politically Correct"
"When The Feeling Is Gone Then It's Time To Take It Back"
"I Like My Music Lik I Like My Life"

And Offcourse:
"A Wasted Youth Is Better By Far Than A Wise And Productive Old Age"

I like the live version from Cardiff 1993 with Dead Ringer. The most powerfull version of this song.

My Score: 8/9

This is a great song! Don't think it's political, but still.....it has something, it's kind of a demonstration orso......don't know.

Everything louder than everything else, real life. Everyone is trying to over-react to an other person. (hope you all do understand what i mean, i will say something, but someone else is saying it louder, harder, etc.)

Music is great and my favorite sentence is:
"A Wasted Youth Is Better By Far Than A Wise And Productive Old Age"

Maybe this is true.....who will now.

9/10

At the end we can hear bagpipes. Why?
Brian Meagher and his son are by any chance Meat's friends or relatives?

And it was my 300th post!!!

This is the song that suffers from length more than any others. WHY does Jim just drag out songs like this? It could be two minutes shorter...I cut off this song after a few lines of the second (last) chorus

Don't think that a Steinman song, sung by ML can suffers from length.
This is a great song, and those bagpipes, well, that is a great end of the song.

But do you also cut of other songs earlier??

A Steinman song CAN'T BE TOO LONG! THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE. The song needs the second Chorus! The guitar at the end is amazing!

woooooow brother, take it easy.
the last chorus is maybe too much for me, but i can hear "a wasted youth is better by far.."-part over and over and over and over again. t is a very great song.
9/10.
and every JS song is the best song. there will never be someone like him.

Okay now????

Curly Larry and Moe are stereotypical lazy people. Just random names, like Tom, Dick and Harry (that's why they used those names in Third Rock From The Sun ^_^)

yes, curly larry and mo were the three stooges.

I love this song sooo much. I think ity really somes up a lot about rock and roll, the pure emotion of it, and how it is not about 'fitting in' but being yourself.

I dont rate Meat songs, but if i did, this would be very very high lol

To answer an erlier post, Larry, Curly and Mo is a very specific reference to "The Three Stooges". They are a very famous (in the West) slap stick comedy team that made numerous short movies and even a few full length movies back in the 30's through 50's. If these are the three men you admire most you certainly have a "waisted youth". It also hit me as a very clever reference to a line in "American Pie" (the Don McLean song, not the American movie!). Lines like this are what make JS great songs great.

This is classic Steinman and Classic ML. a very solid 10/10.

This is one of those songs that supposed "non-Meat Loaf-likers" can listen to and appreciate.

I'll never forget the time I used to be verbally abused for adoring Bat II by my Tech teacher, who promptly borrowed the album and never gave it back!

I now have two copies as I find I need to replace it every 12 months due to the amount of wear the cd gets!

Meh, so sue me!

Absolutely love this song. It just feels so BIG. it really gets the mikey-juices flowing on a dull morning!

Not sure about the bagpipes at the end though.

Another favourite. This song for a long time was my favourite but even though it isn't anymore I still love it. I'm listening to it as I post this.

This is a definite 10/10 cause it fits my life to a tee especially the verses
"I know that I will never be politically corect and I don't give a damn about my lack of etiqutte (sp?)" cause to me it's saying that no matter what always be yourself and always do the next thing in your life better, bigger and louder

Love and Peace
