Default 87. It's All Coming Back To Me Now

This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic.
Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!!!

It's All Coming Back To Me Now (6)

Hmmm... to rate is very hard. This song is a beatuiful story, a great melody. My favourite version is Celine Dion's song (maybe) because of the video and I love her voice. She can sing very clear. Well... Meat Loaf's version with Marion Raven is really not as good as Celine's or Pandora's version. Marion Raven is a good singer, a really nice woman (once I will be her husband) but her voice is not good next Meat's voice. And Meat can't sing this Steinman song anymore. His voice is week now...

My score: 6

Average: 6.00

What are you on about? The Celine Dion's video was so cheesy it stunk. I do like the pandora's box version.
Meat's voice is weak now??????????????????????????????? This is a meat loaf fan site and you come on and say that.
After reading your other post me think's hidden agenda and all that!

Anyway.......... I give it a fat old 9!

I actually think Meat's version is the best version of the song. So much more emotional than the previous versions.

I know you have you name ending in loaf but that doesn't mean people aren't entitled to an opinion that doesn't make Meat look like a God. You may not agree with that opinion, but they are entitled to it.

As for scoring of the song, I'm in agreement with White Of High. It's not my favourite version of the song and 6 is about right for me.

It's not my favourite version either. I agree everyone is entitled to say what they want.
But this thread was obviously about other issues. Read ban thread.
Plus to say Meat's voice's is weak to me is just wrong which is my opinion.
My score 8/10

I was quite impressed with how strong Meat's voice was on this track actually.

OK though I respect this as your personal opinion you can't say Meat's voice is weak, I'm sorry!! I witnessed what he was capable of at RAH, 16th October 2006 and 99% of people here I'm sure will agree with me that it was far from weak. As for this song I like both version's BUT it does work better as a duet I think. After saying that you expect Meat to then respond to you?
Man you have some cheek, I'm sorry!

Sorry if I offended anyone with this post it really wasn't intentional but I had to say it.

Hmmm...

Did NOT like this version when first heard it...thought Marion voice was all wrong for it...BUT...MUCH better than Celine...she literally murdered that song for me...

After giving it some time and a chance...like it much better...why is that then that more and more I listen to Elaine Caswell's version?

Thank you, Meat, for giving me the song back though...so...

It's 8 for me...

Meat Loas is learning to sing now with a private singer teacher. Meat knows what I say I think... Guys! He is slowly 60 years old. His voice is not as good as in '70's, '90's or the start of '90's. That's a fact. He was the best but his voice is so far from his old voice. Listen the symphonic CD in Melbourne and Sydney. He is always out of rhythm, in FCOL and AFL the voice is broken. I heard some concert now and he was not as good as for example in 1988. I said this is the result of a nature's diamond what is never polished. He lost a lot from his voice... sorry!

It seems that your here just to wind people up and get a NEGATIVE reaction and that's very sad!

Why are you here exactly?

I care for Meat deeply and he does not need this kind of disrespect!

This guy has been a member here before I can remember, always begging Meat to play his country as he never got a chance to see him live. I remember all the posts asking meat to consider his home country as he was so desperate to see Meat live. Meat even responded to him if i remember correctly. Definately a fan imo.

I don't agree however with the Meat can't sing this song argument. I think his CD version is very good vocally. The opening especially. What I really miss from Meats version is the long intro that Celine and Pandoras box had. The wind and long piano etc. I also think lyrically the best verse is "i just hurt you and so much deeper" and why that was left out is beyond me. For me its a key part of the story. This def shouldnt have been cut.

i don't agree with the word weak. Meats voice is not weak, but its really different. He doesn't sound like 10 years ago, and how surprising: he is 10 years older! I think that what's been 'missing' are the really raw (do i write this right, dutchies help?) parts of his voice. When i heard the monster, i was indeed schocked and thinking: is THIS Meat??? i had to get used to the change in his voice.

I like this version with Marion, she is a very good singer, heard her live at RAH and also in a dutch television show, and she's great!! For this song Meat and Marion are great, Marion in the neverland express? i don't think so. She needs to go on solo, thats my opinion.

I give this song a 8

What's sadder, him wanting a negative reaction or you giving one? I'm not having a go, I just think it's ironic you actually doing what you say he's only here to do.

Guess that this snippet from my earlier review, which I still stand by, isn't going to win me any brownie points either then:

"It's All Coming Back To Me Now" is the first of seven Steinsongs. It's a boring take on great song, nowhere near the previous versions. If it "was always supposed to be a duet", as mr. Loaf is wont to claim, why is Marion Raven doing little but echo his lines in the chorus? Her voice doesn't do it for me either. Nice try, but no cigar.

Exclamation

One of the few tracks I have to agree with people on. The wrong choice for a first single as it had been a huge hit before for Celine. Also I thought Marion was totally the wrong choice for the song, her voice has totally the wrong sound, far too pop.

Having said that this one of my favourite songs of all time and I was very happy that now my favourite singer of all time has done it.

I would give it 7 out of 10.

IACBTMN
- shortened to the point of butchery
- alleged duet, in actual fact just emphasised backing vocals
- video that makes no sense whatsoever
