I'm afraid that proves my point. (... and that figure probably includes videos about the dish of the same name...)

ya i've noticed that way less people have uploaded video from this tour than previous ones...still there was quite a lot of it between the us and uk tour.

Between the two 2007 tours, Casa De Carne and HC Tour, there have been a ton of Meat Loaf related videos uploaded. Both live and studio. Most of it was deleted. So it is safe to say that hundreds of users who would normally upload Meat Loaf stuff likely just dont bother anymore because they know it will be removed.

I'm glad most of it was removed. Meat doesn't need that stuff floating around the net because it does not give a good impression of him at his best. Plenty of the hang cool tour stuff did, and the really good stuff is still up there :)

Now that Meat's career has come full circle, and he is hugely on top of his game, he could start releasing some pro-shot stuff of Hell In A Handbasket Tour, then start to allow good quality fan-shot video to stay on the net because an HD alternative of the same songs/show exists....and start to rebuild his youtube presence that way. Perhaps with a new channel called Real Meat Loaf themed for HIAH ? :P :P

If you'll hear someone scream then, it's me when I'm seeing another "this video contains content of ... not available in your country..." message.

I have to say I'd prefer if it was wasn't removed whether it gave a good impression or not.

Its kind of obvious when the recording is poor and when Meat is great and vice versa. I think most people are discerning enough to come to their own conclusions, and IMO its more important that Meat's stuff is just out there. All publicity is good publicity etc.

Meat is what he is, and he should be proud of that, rather than take down stuff he doesn't like...

Yeah you have a good point, but that's in a perfect world. Where most people think before making a judgement.

In hollywood, people are stupid and emphasize the stupidest shit. Therefore, to help them forget it, you removed bad stuff and wait awhile. And emphasize the good and great aspects of the person. If it was a bad few years, and it helps him get back in the game by removing emphasis from the quality of the performances, awesome. Paves the way for all of the focus to be on his latest work. Which to me is his best work. Meat's current work is the most interesting and exciting to me than anything he has ever done and i think there are many who will feel the same way.

thats the bit that puzzles me about the bootleg videos, if youtube bootlegs are seen as potentially harmful to a performer, they must accept this is also a fantastic way to get fantastic performances to the masses, why the hell do they not maximise the exposure with some professional recordings uploaded?

and a crap recording is a crap recording, you cant get a bad impression of a performance from a crap recording

Anyway I must say it's great to hear you use the YouTube medium to promote yourself. YT has done a positively lot to/for the HC tour. OK it only works when the artist is actually good and that you have been throughout the tour. Even the shaky phone vids couldn't make you look bad although I agree that they aren't really a plus.

I've mentioned 2007 a few times on this board and YouTube prooves that those days are in the past and that you rock again like it's 1999

Especially for the people not living in the U.S. or the U.K. this is their oportunity to see how hard you worked to get back to the top of your performance. Really good news!
Absolutely correct. I can find plenty of anything on youtube, I really think the recent videos showed the world something. There was a lot of press about Meat's troubles and the media made it sound like he was done. The videos of the HCTB proved otherwise, Meat never tours near me anymore and the videos were a treat.

That tour will bring some songs HIAHB out . Still going to Keep the First 5 songs in the show the way we are now. Anyway, I will put up some of that live footage for all to see. That is what Bruce has done. Can't have all this bootleg shit good or bad. I am leaving certain ones up now but they will all come down. Shaky fan stuff NO. I'm moving to the Stones next .

Just off topic for one second... Australia, I told you all he'd be coming.

Back on topic... That would be great Meat, I can't wait.

As has been demonstrated, there are tons of crappy fan videos out there. But, there are also some very good ones- there are some talented "fans" out there who know what they are doing. Some live stuff does get taken down, but usually it's official stuff, and mostly it's Sony's doing, AFAIK.

That said, if there's some rare or fantastic performance out there, I'm glad to be able to see it, in any quality.

Absolutely agree- recording quality won't change a good performance into a bad one, and vice versa...

I agree, recording quality wont change the performance into a bad one, or vice versa.

But a decent performance can sound like a terrible one when you hear it via a crap quality bootleg.

No, it just sounds like a crappy bootleg I honestly don't know why people bother to put up some of the stuff that they do.

very true, as a fan that's exactly how i see it.

I just meant for the average person looking at the video, especially if they saw a bad performance in the last few years, and it gives off a bad vibe of his performance. I don't like that all the youtubes get removed either, but i think its best right now for him to mostly either have HD fan-made, or pro-shot material

That is indeed awesome. I'm very happy for all the fans there. And a dvd that would feature songs from HCTB and also HIAH would be incredible.

Seriously though I think it's a great idea, especially for those fans who aren't able to make the shows and rely on YouTube to experience it

I totally agree. I had tickets and made my best attempt to see the show, but mine was canceled. It really would be nice to see what all the hubbub is all about over this tour in HD quality.
