LOL... nope. All nuts went straight into MB's carpet, he he he.... While cyber-partying, I left a mess over there. But I suspect YOU to be responsible for the pizza-stain in her rug, lol...

Oh... this is totally off-topic. I'm off now. Getting to... "melig".. forgot the English word... eh... lame?
See you all tomorrow

I really mean that. People, being honest about themselves, even about sad things, or difficult things, or very personal things.
That takes guts. It DOES. And I respect that very much.
Thanks

Just as I meant to say I respect your honesty in the comments you made before :

I figure he's not interested in meeting me as a person. Not his fault, I'm just another fan. And he's there, courtesy to his fans.... maybe, given the chance, I will attend a meet and greet in the future. Not sure yet. I don't like to be just another fan in the row. Just the way I am...
You're not arrogant at all ... far from it :)

Ok, I admit I didn't join the forum until after I found out Fire Ball posts here .. but now I really enjoy hanging out and talking to everyone here.

And as far as a Meet & Greet goes ..... we weren't offered any during the first part of the tour in the US. It just didn't work out, and that's fine. I know I'm just another fan, but if it works out and I'm offered one when he returns to the US next year, I would feel honored and gladly accept it because it would give me the opportunity to thank him and congratulate him on the success of CHSIB. But if it doesn't work out again, that's fine too because just being there to enjoy the music and performance is what's most important :)

Hopefully he'll be able to offer M&Gs for the 2nd leg of the U.S. tour so we'll all get a chance to talk to him :)

I'd say it was up to the individual to decide .. if you like to listen to nothing but Meat Loaf, or Morrisey, or Madness .. it doesn't matter as long as you're happy and don't insist that everyone else has to do the same as you. There's only so much time to listen to music, to go to concerts. You want a catholic taste across the board, fine. You want to listen to one person or group exclusively, that's fine too. I have a friend who's a Will Young devotee .. not my cup of tea, but I respect her enjoyment in that just as she does mine in Meat Loaf. Then again lots of people I know aren't devotees of any particular person or group. Different strokes. When I'm working or reading I prefer silence or classical music .. no words to distract me. Otherwise my choice is usually Meat .. sometimes Queen, Elton John. The Beatles were amazing in their time, the Stones have done some great stuff. Abba produced some outstanding music of it's time, the Gibbs have written some great popular songs. But I also love musicals from Rogers and Hart to LW and Rice, enjoy some opera and light operetta like G&S, and love Tom Lehrer and Flanders and Swan Depends on my mood, whether I want to laugh, listen, or dance. Other artists will catch my interest with particular songs, though as I gets older there is so much I have already to listen to I start collecting less, and because so much of what is played on the radio today is not aimed at my market segment I listen to the radio infrequently and fall back on what I have collected.

I'd just say that I like many other artists but I'm a fan of Meat, which for me means going to concerts whenever I can, making a point of seeing his films, watching TV appearances, doing a website. I'll also go and see Elton John in concert, and I'm seeing Bob Dylan this year .. but wouldn't make a point of going whenever I can. That for me is the difference.

Spending money on travel and tickets? Again, we each make our choice. Like MOuse if I won the lottery I'd see more .. hell, I'd book Meat for a private concert :) Stalking's bizarre and nonsensical imo, but if anyione can afford to go to a run of concerts that in itself wouldn't be defined thus in my view. For my money fanship steps over the line from an enjoyable and OK obsession into stalking once you fail to respect the privacy of the person and their entitlement to have a private life away from public performance. Waiting by the stage door is one thing .. cruising past their house is quite another.

Well i have to say if i had the money i would fly around the world to see Meat I would love to have the money to do a full tour with him and see every show.

I have seen Meat in both Sydney and Newcastle the last few times he has toured here and will do that again this time around.

But on the other hand i listen to Meat most days and lots of other singers bands etc to, it's just that i think Meat is the best living singer. I know same peolpe may think i'm abit nuts but well thats ok by me, as i know i'm totaly nuts

Cheers
