I must be insane...but I actually thought that Pud's input was a positive one???

Alright, it's a proven fact that I am insane...

I would re-read his original post again and take it into consideration. He gave a decent idea to a creative mind...if I was told this, I would have run out and tried exactly what he suggested...

ok as I look at your comment again, I'm confused...I thought that is what I did. I like the music and the videos I put together...so could you show me, in your opinion, an original fan vid?

Your idea was based on a pre-existing one.
To quote me a bit too similar to the other TMIL video that Meats record company brought out. and your reply Pudding, that was kind of the point...

An original piece would be something like the music of BAAB to just the Bat music videos, or the music of Seize The Night to just the Steinman related music video's Meat sings, or the music of Alive to Meats movies. Something like that.

I can see how mcquaidbros thought your comments were negative Pud but, to be honest I think too many people are hurt easily in this day and age. They do something and expect a barrage of compliments........... Even if what they did was s**t.

If people could just learn from negative criticism then they would learn so much more, hence, turning it into postive criticism. If you started saying "Oh I love your video........ It's awesome.... I wish I could f**k it" then mcquaidbros would be happy but nothing would be learned.

However, if I was to give my opinion on the video..... I would say it was good.

Artists in general are sensitive by nature, which leaves them open to being hurt. When we are shown something, and/or asked an opinion, that opinion should be neither negative nor positive criticism, but "constructive" criticism. I have been both negatively criticised and constructively criticised for my creative work. Infinitely more was learned from the constructive criticism, that included some considered admendments. The negative criticism (for which I had paid) left me nothing with which I could work.

Pud's constructive criticism was helpful in my opinion. Mcquaidbros, you've got this video (and probably others, I would venture) about 95% right. If you put some or all of Pud's suggestions into action, you have a real talent worth promoting.

Rockette, I've done more videos, located at my You Tube acct.

Also, I can understand Pudding's first post now that he explained himself (to me) a bit more clearly in later posts. I still like how I did my video, but thank you, Pudding, for your imput.

Just be it known that I'm blind as a bat when it comes to finding my way around the Net.

I've bookmarked your account now and will take a long look at it later, when time permits.

If you need help, ask me. There isn't any Meat stuff there, other than this vid...but someone has asked me to make them a video, so when I get that one finished it will be posted.

Don't think your telling me something I don't already know. My point was that Puddings posts were constructive............. I simply stated that they could easily be missinterpretated as negative criticism............ Saying that, criticism has to be negative or positive. It can't be anything else........ It's only constructive if someone learns from it.

I've just been messing around on Youtube and spotted a fan video that I thought was quite well done. Not sure if its already been posted on here or if the person is a member on here but I liked it.
