Thank you for that useful answer - I was hoping for someone to shed some light as to what the book contains. Obviously I need to be a little more specific on my questioning in future!

Thanks for that link. It's a bit mind-blowing for 9.00am when you haven't had a coffee yet!

It's a very short book, rather written like a long magazine article. It was published in 1981. Topics (as far as I remember at the moment):

- Meat and Jim's biographies (only little info)
- Bat Out Of Hell (incl. some info on the artist who made the cover)
- Bad For Good
- Neverland
- Jim's influences
- Americathon / Roadie
- Discography

Yes that was the one . Can I ask, does yours have a name embroidered on the inside of it ~ was just wondering if it was the name of the person who wore it or the person who designed the jackets?

I was watching that one too, and unfortunately wasn't at home to bid when the auction ended

Well done, though - you got it for a VERY nice price!

It's the name of the person who the jacket was originally given to ... they were given out by Virgin records to those that helped get the album to number one.

Haven't bought much, but have sold a few things on ebay lately.

They include:

A digital photo frame that the buyer said does not work, but is very reluctant to send it back to me.

A Polaroid Pogo printer.

A few little Body Shop items.

An Ikea bookcase.

Tonight I'm selling an iPod Touch, a Sony Ericsson phone, and hopefully an old Olympus Camedia camera. Fingers crossed they go well!

The perils of there being two Meat Loaf collectors in this house means we have a lot of stuff to shift should we ever move ... luckily we've got ourselves a convoy

This (to see what experimental sounds I can make for my new album)

http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

This (because I wanted the Picture Disc LP, may have been one of you in here battling with me for it to get it up to £30!)

http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

This (because it's the fifth Beatle and will be part of a collection)
http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

and this because it was cheap and I've always wanted it on vinyl

I haven't made any meat-related ebay purchases recently however I have just this moment bought a rather pretty jewellery tree (saw the very same one in shops a while back, been kicking myself since I didn't buy it, and it was a bargain [though the picture is not from the seller I bought it from])

And my previous ebay purchase was some picture rail hooks ... to go on the picture rails I spent days putting on the walls!

After 19 months of bricklaying, pointing, plastering etc, it's time for some girlie purchases

At first I thought cool coasters. Then I thought whoa ....what did they do to that album and now I'm sad that it's a coaster bowl.

I looked but didn't buy this.

This particular line makes me lust this item:

A lot of great music much of which appears to be different takes than that that appears on the finished record.

I will indeed. Sounds intriguing, hence why I bought it. When it arrives I'll let you know all the details.
