MEAT LOAF is to appear with Samuel L Jackson in a new £18 million film called "The 51st State".

Filming starts at the end of this month in Liverpool (UK) for 10 weeks. It also stars Ricky Tomlinson who plays Jim in "The Royle Family" and Robert Carlyle who played Hamish Macbeth, and has been in the films "The Full Monty" and "Trainspotting" amongst others. Samuel L Jackson plays a master chemist who heads to Britain to set up his last big drug deal. He soons falls into the Liverpool underworld and a network of double-dealing.
