Hey, what can you do...but if my kid had nits/lice I would try to get rid of it before taking him for haircut...

We have this problem in America too...but here is a kicker...

We did NOT have THAT in Ukraine which is in comparison to Europe/America was a third world country (maybe still is) when I was growing up...

Schools can inform individual parents and can do a whole school 'watch out for nits' thing so as to avoid anyone being picked on. Still makes me itch though!

The thing is they're not always itchy i had them years ago and i didn't start scratching until i found out i had them and then i couldn't stop!!

Actually, I have been known to take the phone to the loo during long conversations........ only for number ones though.
