I just thought I'd let you know we have finally managed to get hold off two tickets for the Rolling Stones on this coming Saturday at Twickenham Stadium, we can walk there too! Would have been cheaper mind to listen from our back garden, we ended up paying £250!!!!! Ah well if it makes hubby happy!

Great Dottie .. have a wonderful time :)

I've got a trip down memory lane booked with Bob Dylan in November ..

Come gather round people wherever you be
Admit that your joints aren't what they used to be
And accept that you need your bifocals to see
And enjoy the show that I'm staging
And you'll need to lean forward if you're going to hear me
For the ears they are a changing

So tap your pacemakers, breath deep, count to ten
Keep your hearing aids tuned, the chance won't come again
For the years have kept rolling, and boys turned to men
And we all know the pounds we've been gaining
And we need a much wider seat than we did then
For the waistlines they are a changing

Come daughters, sons, grandchildren all through this land
And don't criticize what you can't understand
For those are our footprints still there in the sand
Of a time when the battle was raging
But remember some bought seats because they can't stand
For the knees they are a changing

For we were at Woodstock when the die was cast
What if now we move slow when we used to move fast
Yes we led the way to this present from the past
And I'll tell you our minds are not fading
In our hearts we're still able to kick up some ass
And the times, we got them changing!!!!!

What a November/December I have lined up .. concerts with Bob Dylan, Eddie Izzard.. oh and quite a few with some big bloke called Meat Loaf

Oh God I needed that laugh Caryl B. thank you for that - so true
Well we've got tickets for 17th November Wembley, plus 4 more coming from the record company eventually, so we'll be able to see Meat 3 times at least. Also I am taking my son and daughter to see David Akora (medium) at the Beck in Hayes next month, and then Steve Steinman at the Beck also.
Um a lot to look forward to.

Did you see the tribute to Bob Dylan on VH1 I think, a few weeks ago, didn't realise it was on,just found by accident, hope they repeat it.

I understand you Dottie. I have it with some music... like Meat Loaf. Love it so much. Music is the key to the soul, or from the soul.... It makes you feel that you are alive!!!

Hiya Tim, To feel music when its hits the very core of your being, Oh yes -

Preciesly..... That is what i'm saying. It has not age.. only emotions. The new music, like house... don't have that (imh. opinion).

The older music has it. It touches something... can make you feel happy, make you cry....

Oh Tim, you sum up it so well, I have had a fantastic evening, really do feel so happy, but have to listen to music LOUD - normally with head phones on - wouldn't want to disturb the neighbours.

Music keeps you alive, and can rescue you when your're feeling down like I was before tonight -alls well with the world again

This'll go to bed now, revive it on the 20th September, when its our turn

Went to Twickers to see the Stones on Sunday - fabulous show...

Saga was forced to withdraw its discount ticket offer as they were rather anxious that too many wrinklies would turn up - cheek of it....

We can rock as good as anyone, no matter there age

Keith Richards to my mind definitely stole the show with his Slipping Away...
and Keith received a very long standing ovation, I suppose quite a few people wondered if he would ever make it

Probably the last time we'll have the pleasure of listening and watching the Rolling Stones, but who knows, they do say old rockers never retire
