While that's true, you could say it's notable that for being (afaik) the first time Sony releases a compilation that contains several songs from the Arista/RCA albums (that's Bad Attitude and Blind Before I Stop, for those who wonder).

I mean, I've never seen one. There's Modern Girl on Hits Out Of Hell and TVBO, but as far as I know, that's it. Mostly, it's either songs from Bat/Dead Ringer/Midnight or from Bad Attitude/Blind/Live that are being lumped together without much thought. I can't recall any compilation with this much 'cross over'. But then again, I tend to avoid those collections.

When will they stop to flog compilations of mostly less popular songs as "Best of"? They release that stuff over and over again, I have stopped counting how many of those CDs have already hit the shelves.

my guess has always been that meat sold the rights to his name or rights to the songs when times were hard and gave them the right to release all of these crappy compilations.

either way it's not something i'm buying

Looks like another churned out pile of shite. You've got to be a bit of a moron to buy a compilation that has nothing new on it when you can make your own easily enough.

he didn't sell the rights. he lost all rights he may have had when he was sued by sony for breach of contract. the label owns the rights to the recordings, anyway.
