Default pre order the new cd now ....... although strange

amazon.co.uk has now listed the new cd as available to pre-order under Mercury records in the UK - March 31st.

amazon.de the german site also have it that date but say its an import and don't give a label for its release.

I take this then as being that the cd is available in the uk march 31st and germany can import on march 31st. We know however this isn't the case and its the other way round - have amazon got mixed up? any ideas?

also, worth noting, i found on play.com (who i use all the time - excellent) that a BOOH 25th Anniversary CD is being released March 10th. They have it listed at 12.99 delivered. so Meat must be releasing this new version of BOOH just before the new album to up hype a bit - its A DOUBLE CD!!!!!

anyway, im wondering about amazon but at least they have it listed for March 31st,so either way everyone will get it then... just a amatter of who gets the import - its worth taking a look for yourselve

Concerning the Bat 25th anniversary double CD set.
I have seen this in the shops.
The first CD is the original album. The second is the Hits Out Of Hell DVD.
£12.99 is great value. It's the cheapest I have seen it.

Default 25th anniversary cd/dvd

The "25th anniversary" package is not new, at least not in my part of the world. It has been out in New Zealand since August of 2002. That's the first time I remember seeing it in stores here. In September, it actually charted, at 35, for one week, before slipping off the top 50. That is very good considering the only promotion was on one obscure tv channel. It is still in the New Release stands in CD stores here.

In NZ, it is available in a CD-sized cardboard cover, or in a DVD-sized plastic case. It has a few extra liner notes inside, from memory, but it has not been a big priority for me to get it because I already have both items seperately.

The 25th anniversary was on 21 October of last year, but I guess that for places in which BOOH was released in 1978, the anniversary is THIS year.

Remember, it's the 10th anniversary of BOOH 2 this year!!!!!

Thanks for posting the information about CHSIB I noticed the same thing ... guess we'll just have to wait and see? But at least we know it'll be available

Default New CD (Couldn't Have Said It Better)

It look's as though the UK will get the CD first as they are advertising it on www.meatloafonline.com. Amazon UK also has the art work for the CD cover were as the German one does not. I have ordered it and apparantly the CD will arive at my house between the 1st and 2nd of April. So if all goes well we should get it first. Anyway isn't Mercury records owned by "Polydor". So lets hope we get the new album in the UK first. IT'S ABOUT TIME (8 years later) and lets hope we get a BAT OUT OF HELL 3. Apparantly Steinman is releasing a new album with 3 brand new tracks on it. And Meats new single "Couldn't Have Said It Better comes out on 21st of April if websites are to be believed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO MEAT LOAF (does anyone know if he will be touring the UK)

Euuuuhhh..Did i miss something somewhere somehow? What's this thing about Jim Steinman? is he releasing an album???

He always tours in the UK, do not worry. I think the dutch fans should worry this time. I have been dreaming upon a storm lately........

folks i wouldnt get too excited yet, i think theres a mix up. I think amazon.co.uk will ship it to UK customers but i dont think its actually going to be on shop shelves etc. Meat said May and there is has been no promo work in the UK at all. Not even one single has been released here so if UK people get the album it'll be an import so to speak. If it becomes available in the UK on March 31st in HMV etc then it'll have been released without any uk promo and without even releasing a single. April 21st is release of CHSIB (the single) so May seems the right time for he UK to purchase it high street.

WE ARE EXTREMLY LUCKY HOWEVER THAT AMAZON HAS IT FOR US

You might be right about the mixup :) But just so you know amazon.co.uk will also ship to customers outside of the UK ... I live in the United States, and haven't had any problems with either them or amazon.com.de

Thanks

Amazon.de is where the confusion lies. I just found the link to the German release on Amazon.de (the German release via Polydor Records) but they also have a link for the release as an import from the UK (the release on Mercury Records). Here's the Polydor release listing:

http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASI...550177-7444857

Hope that helps some!

The official site - Meat Loaf OIFC.com - have it down as being March 31st too - seems a bit early bearing in mind lack of promo activity??

Also, official site says that Did I Say That is the first single to be released, but I thought it was the single CHSIB?? Also when is the single released in the UK?

Got front row tickets for Newcastle!!
