If you walk on the grounds of that camp it will change you. I have raised over 1,000,000 dollars for that camp in the last 6 years.
Sounds like a fine and wellworth cause.
Great to hear you've been able to help so much

Let me repeat everyone told me to do it. Glad your not my manager.

Actually, I was referring to the reaction from a lot of fans that they didn't want you anywhere near a project like this. Said nothing about your managment. How would I know what their point of view was?

I was trying to point out that something a lot of fans didn't want you to do turned out to have a good impact, and that if I were in your shoes i'd be more than happy to show people how successful the venture had been (which is what you've done).

Sorry Meat, but there was no need to be rude.

Hi There..
Will be watching the Celebrity Apprentice all the way from Norway. And your charity, the Painted Turtle, have never heard off it over here... So I had to googled it, and think that is A really great thing you are doing for them. The children are the most important thing in our lives! And I think we have to do everything we can, to help them to A better living. Well done, Meat

Default Great Video of Meat Talking About The Painted Turtle

I don't know if this will work outside of the USA or not, but here's a great video of Meat describing his charity, The Painted Turtle :

He's so excited about his charity. :)
Ironically: I love the "Fire Ball" behind him and the motorcycle in the promo clip. Symbolic eh?

Thank you, Vicki, how heartwarming is that!

Well, that does it. Nikox, I may not be brave enough to be on the front lines but may I join your "Meat is Fantastic Faction" ? :)

I didn't know the Painted Turtle brought in siblings too; that probably not only makes them feel included, but closer to their ill brother or sister. What a wonderful charity Meat is supporting! I'm looking forward to the show even more now.

-Kathy
P.S. I agree with Meat. My new motto is "Compliments bear repeating; disses don't."

I'm still happy about Meat making money for his charity, but I'm still not watching the series. And if my beloved husband (who has seen an ad for Apprentice on tv) continues flashing four fingers at me (representing the "four minutes to hospital" with which Meat threatens Gary Busey) well... there will be no accounting for my actions ... ...

It sounds as if the "four finger/minute" countdown will be for when your hubby ends up in the hospital, if he keeps it up - LOL. Celebrity Apprentice has always been a guilty TV pleasure of mine, so I will be guilty of watching.
As the saying goes different strokes for different folks. Supporting the fact that Meat is making money for charity is the important thing

Like the show or not, this is what it's all about.

Seeing Meat so emotional about his charity (The Painted Turtle) at the end choked me up.

EXPOSURE - it's a rare commodity when any talentless ~~~~ can get on the air as long as they are willing to submit to a public voting spectacle.

Society loves to judge - if you can create a positive public impression and get your brand in the spotlight for 5 mins you do it - doesn;t matter of you are a rockstar, marketing exec or bartender. It is all about creating a positive narrative about yourself nowadays, whether bullshit or otherwise - doesn't seem to matter.

Which doesn't apply to Meat appearing on Celebrity Apprentice. He didn't do it for "exposure" and there's no public voting on the Apprentice shows, where you're judged on achievement by Donald Trump (or in the case of the UK version, Lord Sugar).

I agree there's a desire to judge in society these days, which contributes to the plethora of "reality" shows on TV these days which seek shedloads of money from telephone voting, but the Apprentice shows are not amongst them.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with that, Meat has himself previously commenting about 'celebrities' coming out for telethons acting all concerned when they should be just getting their chequebooks out and leaving it at that. They do it because they have something to promote or they want to see themselves in the spotlight.

While I'm not arguing that Meat is raising money for a charity in this and that it is a worthy cause, everyone that goes on any kind of reality show is doing it for some sort of exposure and I'm sure there's a manager or promoter somewhere for Meat's shows in March/April (possibly even Meat himself) that will look upon Meat being on the show as a way to help boost ticket sales.

If you're going to appear on a reality show, then you could do alot worse than appear on one that does at least give you the opportunity to raise a shitload of cash for your chosen charity, in my view that's a better move than heading off to the jungle, swapping your wife for a week, learning to ice skate or having four other celebrities round for dinner ...
