We really need to start me a "Last Movie You Slept Through" thread!! Last film I watched (from start to finish!) was Run Fatboy Run...I really like that film, really makes me feel like I should, and could, get up off my arse and do something worthwhile...but I opted for a G&T and a Magnum instead |

The Illusionist. Absolutely stunning. Straight into my top 20 favourite movies for sure. Loved it. Perfect score too. |

True Grit... The re-make with Jeffrey Bridges... Well, it was hubby's birthday and he loves the original, (which I don't, so it was good of me to go, don't you think?) he seemed to enjoy this one too, but I've decided I shouldn't book cinema trips for his birthday anymore, since the last two haven't exactly been outstanding successes..... Last year I booked tickets for Gran Torino at the Odeon Leicester Square, at £30ish, then managed to show up an hour after it started, thus year the automatic ticket machine processed my booking and ran out of paper when it came to print the tickets, and had cleared the order when refilled, so I had no tickets to get in!! Luckily a nice manager let us in without..... |

On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I really don't understand why so many 'Bond fans' rate it so highly. Yes it stays very close to the book, but as a film in it's own right it's pretty dull and George Lazenby is appallingly bad. |

The most disappointing part of that movie was the ending.

Last two films (well ok one and half) that Lucy slept through were Scott Pilgrim Versus The World and Aliens. The former is entertaining in a bizarre quirky way and the latter is a great (although somewhat dated) action movie, although the Aliens perhaps need to lay off the vicks vapour rub... Alien 3 is on tonight, so I can see someone getting a few hours extra kip ... |

The Illusionist is a great film Saw True Grit and The Fighter yesterday, both really good. Matt Damon is brilliant in True Grit and Christian Bale and Amy Adams steal the show in the Fighter |

Yes, it was a shit way to end the film. Originally it was supposed to be the opening for Diamonds Are Forever but when it became clear that Lazenby wasn't going to do it, it got added to OHMSS instead. That is how the book ends, but it's a depressing end to the film. |

Elvis The Early Years, been skeptical about this film and though Rose McGowen looked nothing like Ann-Margret and neither did the girl playing Priscilla it was good, I especially loved the army footage of the real Mr. Presley but all together this film was fair.

Drive Angry 3D. Crazy, bit crude at times and quite a bit of nudity, so you are warned. Fun though at times. Why the hell was Meat Loaf's Alive covered though? Why not just use the original? |

				 | I've got a couple of movies on DVD waiting to be watched (the classic Westworld, and 1 Hour Photo, it'll be interesting to see Robin Williams in a serious role) but at the moment Jo and I are working our way back through the TV series Supernatural from season 1, so they'll have to wait until we've got through to the end of season 5 lol. |
