i do know where you are coming from, im not a fan of rap myself, BUT on some rare occasions it has worked? but again nobody has heard the song so?

Perhaps it will be 4 men who have become friends and who are all in the music business singing a song that Meat has chosen to have a fit in his next album? As with Meat's apple pie, I'll wait until I've sampled it before I put my Masterchef judge's hat on

I'm a MEAT fan; love his rock, love his ballads. I also love his current sound, and I can't see him turning his back on that; he says he's been recording with the whole band, and on the performances I've seen this tour, that'll do nicely thank you

Likewise, if you put a rapper on a song, i'm not going to listen to it because I don't want my ears to bleed.

I know i keep bringing up this example, but this reminds me of the JayZ - Mr Hudson collaboration... Mixing up a rock /classics with raps isnt easy, but if they can do it Meat sure as hell can! As a fan I believe everybody should give him the benefit of the doubt... Meat is experienced enough to decide which projects he should jump at, and if he wants to do this, its because he knows it will work

I don't like rap, but I doubt we'll hear the four of them rapping. It's one song on an album. Four men from different musical genres, three of whom AREN'T rappers. No strychnine, just a song, and I am certain my ears won't bleed when I listen to it. Will I like it? I hope so. When will I know? When I listen to it. What's the worst that can happen? I might not like that track, and will use my healthy ears to listen to the others.

My thoughts

As you say, if anyone can do it Meat can, and he'll be delivering an album as a whole and ensuring tracks fit together and deliver HIS sound.

it might well surprise a lot of people and you wont know till you listen to it if you will like it or not and hopefully it will be a nice surprise

maybe, but without it it's arguable that the band's future would have been very different. They'd had lineup changes and poor sales in previous years, and this single rejuvenated the band and their fans, and found them a heck of a lot more along the way. It led the way for Permanent Vacation and Pump, two of the biggest 80's rock albums, and signalled the start of their second 'golden era'.

I'm not a fan of rap either. Just because he usually sings rap, doesn't mean he will sing rap on this album, he will sing whatever style Meat is singing for the album and whatever fits. I'm sure he can be versatile and adapt and sing rock. Like Caryl, I will reserve judgement until I hear it myself, and am sure my ears won't bleed either.

I feel sorry for the injuries he has suffered, and if that's why he is the way he is.....well, I'm sorry for that too. I can't pin it all on that though. I have no idea how you and the rest of the guys put up with him! Note to Donald Trump: if replay is now acceptable in Major League Baseball......let's use it in Celebrity Apprentice. There have been numerous instances where people have outright lied.....like Gary did last night. I think it would be great for Trump to go to the tape and see who's telling the truth. It won't happen, but Busey really pissed me off last night!!! I have no idea how this whole thing turns out Meat, but you have certainly shown yourself to be a class act. That's no surprise to those like me who have followed your career for over 30 years, but it's nice that others get to see you as the man we know you are.
