Rock And Roll Dreams, no contest.
I think Frying Pan is awesome, but I prefer the rockier arrangement on Bad For Good. |

Frying Pan, Rock N' Roll Dreams and Bad For Good are all on a par of awesomeness to me. Left in the Dark is also good.

Frying Pan, just, but Bad For Good is awesome, as is Left In The Dark. I have to say I'm not a huge fan of Rock N Roll Dreams (I like it but I can take it or leave it) and I normally skip Lost Boys and Golden Girls. Surfs Up is very well done.

With the possible exception of Left In The Dark they're all better than the versions on BFG (yes even Bad For Good itself, even though its missing the God Speed part).
For me its Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through, although the performance on Frying Pan is awesome and runs it really close. Also think Surf's Up is an enormous improvement on the BFG version. |

I choose Surfs Up, but to be honest I prefer the originals of all the BFG songs over any subsequent versions.
To me BFG is Jims best work. I think the backing vocals on this album make the record and ranks among the greatest of all time... |

I must say i think its Meat's versions for most, the thing for me is not that Jim wrote and had them recorded previously. Its the quality of Meat voice that trumps everything for me. The thone, the timbre, its just something i like. So out of those songs i would have to pick maybe, BFG. Yes, its missing the god speed section but its a beefier recording. Love jims versions of his songs, but to me he clearly let meat have some on bat 2 as he may not have been happy with the product himself.
Erm, yea, BFG, no RnRD. Frying pan is awesome but id listen to the melbourne version over the album one as its more in your face. Awk ~~~~ i dont know. Go make a poll about how to vote on a poll for those of us who find it difficult to poll vote.... ey? ey? No takers on that, awk well. |
