Default a cover for Meat Loaf?

im a total music nerd and listen to everything from the 30's to the present day, so end up on some complete random music chatrooms and forums or listening to any radio show and i remember hearing about a song on Guns n roses 15 years in the making album Chinese Democracy (im not a big guns fans by the way) called THIS I LOVE. On a radio show when it came out they said the album was awful expect if that track had less screechy, high pitched vocals then it would sell millions, the presenter said that song would be huge if it was sang by someone like Meat Loaf or Rhydian Roberts. On a lot of forums people have said the same that THIS I LOVE would be a hit if sung differently (a lot of different artist names mentioned) but no one has yet covered it. whether thats because Axl wont grant permission or maybe no one thinks its worth it. anyways what you think about Meat doing it???

No way. That is Axls song.

End of story.

Maybe other songs off of Chinese Democracy, but not that one.

It does have scope to be an epic song, take away the screeching and it's a great chorus, gotta do something about the droning monologue that's the verses though. Can't see Meat doing it though.

Btw, which ever radio host you're listening to is a moron.

Chinese Democracy is a near perfect album IMO.

The only song from that album that i could see ML doing is 'Catcher in the Rye'.

I couldn't imagine Meat singing any of these songs, but who knows- it might be interesting.

What would you suggest he do for respect? Go on Celebrity Apprentice?

What else would you suggest? Release new music? I agree, but the frequency of music releases shouldn't be judged on the forum of an artist who has had lapses of 7 and 8 years in between albums.

And just like ML, he puts on a killer show built off of his back catalogue every night that he's on.

I fail to see how he's a joke in the slightest.

It's also something which doesn't exist, some prank/rumour someone started up a while ago it seems.

I think that he said something about a red panda in an off hand way. The gnr community is small, but rabid. Things are read into far too much, but that comes from Axl being so mysterious.

In that sense he is nothing like ML, who has lived life pretty transparently.
