I have to disagree on this point. Some of his songs were real rock n roll, beat it, dirty diana to name but a few. True he did other more easy listening stuff but he did a lot of rock n roll records. Just listen to the heavy guitars in some of the songs!

Who cares what Jim looks like! It is great to see him and Meat together again. Without Jim . Well you can fill the rest in.................................. and visa versa. He seems like a nice person with a great sense of humour.

This! Thank you Two things:
1) What is the comment that Meat Loaf makes about It's All Coming Back To Me Now? I can't make the last bit of it out. He lists a heap of Jim's songs, and then goes "And that Celine Dion song which I ___." What's the blank? 2) The fact that he quoted It Just Won't Quit both surprised me and made my night, for whatever reason. I didn't expect him to come out with something so obscure Jim's speech had me giggling the whole time. Thank you for all the erections you gave my heart |

Thanks for posting the vids R.
Great to see Mr Steinman back up on a stage but, like a couple of people have commented on, the last few years have taken their toll on him. Just to add, that was a really great speech by Sir Loaf |

Many thanks to them both I certainly did Thought Meat's speech was very funny and full of warmth and affection. Jimmy was his usual oddball funny self. The heart erection made me But some of Jimmys speech wasn't too clear because of all the laughter in the room |

That was absolutely brilliant. Thank you so so much Meat and Jim for sharing this with us. Two absolute Rock Legends. Meat nailed it for me when he said For Crying Out Loud is the greatest love song ever written. And the reading of some of the lyrics from it and Just Won't Quit was very moving.

I guess the SHOF are the ones to have exclusive official footage including the performances and may put it up on their website songhall.com eventually. |

What a heartfelt induction.......from the For Crying Out Loud lyric opening to the It Just Won't Quit lyric closing.....just magical. Thank you so much to all the powers that be to let us see history unfold.
