Default R.I.P. Wezzie Murray

Hey guys and gals.... I have been chatting on and off with Janny over on Facebook and was asked to share the word that longtime Meat Loaf fan and keeper of The Room At The Top (MeatLoaf-OIFC) website, Weezie Murray has passed away. Janny said that Ronnie (Wez's hubby) called with the news. It was very unexpected. Wezzie passed away in her sleep. I will forever cherish the multiple hour long telephone calls we shared and heated debate about Meat Loaf (the man and music) via these calls and over emails.

This was one of Wezzie's favorite songs and I want to share this as a tribute to her. Thank you for everything Wez. I hope you are looking down from Heaven, along side TMB, sipping on the Berry Juice, and watching over us still stuck here in this Mad Mad World.

I love and miss you friend!!!

R.I.P. Wezzie, and a too-late "Thank you" I had hoped to give you in person the next time we met. I won't forget you.

No words can make her loss any easier for anyone to come to terms with.

I would say rest in peace but I suspect wherever she is now she is setting about sorting out the sound syatems so she can enjoy Meat.

My very first venture onto "the internet for recreation" was durign the CHSIB tour, the day after the Adelaide concert, in an attempt to find the chick who took the photos outside the AEC after the gig. I hadn't known of the fan clubs, and I hadn't discovered the internet for fun yet, but the nice girl after the Adelaide show had told me to visit Room at the Top. So I did.

My first post ever drew the ire of a swathe of other members (Do you guys even remember it?). You lot jumped on me. It was terrifying! Wezzie patted me down and provided some advice via PM, and did something with the thread that calmed it all down, but I'll be stuffed if I can remember what.

Either way, without her influence on that occasion, I may well have run off screaming in terror, and avoided the fan clubs. That would have been a damn shame: I have been privileged to meet so many wonderful people and make so many wonderful memories between then and now, and I have Wezzie to thank for that.

A great loss to the Meat community.

I haven't been on here since March 2012, thought I would have a look at what was going on and what do I see but that The Sarge has passed away. I am soo upset, my husband and myself used to talk to her on a Friday night about 1 or 2 in the morning on OIFC. We got really friendly with her on there and even ended ip telephoning each other, we had the privilege, of going over there for a family holiday with our children and spent 14 wonderful days with her and her husband Ronnie.
My daughter even went over on her own for her 18th Birthday and spent Christmas with Wezzie and the Family.

I can't even begin to know how they will cope without her, she was and will always be a very special person, to me and my Family.
