Still, it has a decent phono preamp built in and the Dual 1219 does sound very nice with the mounted Shure cartridge. The receiver does very well with DD/DTS encoded movies (Notice the el-cheapo LG blu-Ray player on top of the Yamaha) and is perfect for occasional listening to music.

just the actual volume control knob doesn't always control the volume, if you just use the remote control you'll never notice... quite an easy fix as well im told, but i'll stick to just using the remote :)
